Rocket League: Esports Tokens have been removed

Since, the launch of Esports Tokens in Rocket League fans have been divided. As it added one more currency making it difficult to get rewards and cosmetics in the game. However, in a upcoming update Epic Games have decided to remove Esports Token from the game. The game will now only focus on Rocket League Credits. This will help focus on a single currency in-game streamlining all purchases.

Moreover, Esports Shop is gone and is being renamed to RLCS Shop. We will soon be getting more exclusive items and cosmetics for the RLCS Shop.

Rocket League has finally revealed the official release date for Season 18 and will feature new mutators as well. The new Season is bringing a brand new Battle Pass, a new Arena and new added features. The Season 18 for Rocket League is coming out this week on March 14.

Rocket League confirmed the rumors about Hatsune Miku crossover. The famous superstar Hatsune Miku is coming to Rocket League just after a week her crossover with Fortnite. Now, she’s making her way to Epic Games Rocket League. We will be getting exclusive cosmetics including decals, wheels and more.

Esports Token Removed from Rocket League

Starting with this announcement and the new update in Rocket League, Esports Token will no longer will be a part of the game. Esports Token will not be available to purchase anymore. And the players who already own Esports Token will be converted to Rocket League Credits.

RL Credits will be the only currency that will be valid in Rocket League. Rocket League Season 18 is having a blast with new content, new map, battle pass and more. We will soon be getting more crossover events, one such event is bringing TMNT in Rocket League.

This is a big change for Rocket League and having one currency will benefit both Epic Games and players who like to grind for their cosmetics and rewards. The Esports Tokens that are already owned will be converted by April 22, 2025.

Esports Shop changes to RLCS Shop

Starting April 22, 2025 the Esports Shop will be gone and will be renamed to RLCS Shop. The new store will feature universal Decal and Decals to help support favorite teams through out the RLCS series 2025. 

Universal Decals will be available to equip on any car body and players can also buy Takeover Goal Explosion. These animations will help players support their favorite teams will custom animations. Also, all purchases are based on split and 30 % of purchases from the RLCS go the esports teams that players support. There are more than 30 teams that are available and partnered with RLCS Shop.
