Ashe’s role in Overwatch is to operate in the mid-range. She can be a difficult player to handle, but her abilities and weapons are so potent that your learning curve will definitely increase.
Hello everyone! My name is Tango. Since I am working with the Overwatch 2 boosting squad here at Immortal Boost, I had to quickly learn to master this hero so that I can perform my job better when my client asks me to spam this hero in every game, so let’s get started!
Abilities Of Ashe
The Viper
Ashe’s Viper Rifle is her primary fire source. You can use it by pressing the viper button, and it fires a barrage of single shots. To make your shots more precise and increase the destruction rate, ensure you aim down sights. Reloading your Viper may take up to 4 seconds, which is a primary weakness of the Viper because 12 rounds are reloaded individually.
The Viper is Ashe’s magnificent rifle. Its direct hit deals 85 damage and can shoot many squishes.
The Viper Tips and Tricks
- A shot of one hip-fire bullet is the best way to attack a target.
- Ashes’s Viper rifle can one-shot squishy with a head-shot while you are boosted.
- An excellent way to use The Viper for shooting full-blown targets is to shoot one hip-fire bullet and then continue with aiming down sights. The aim spread will happen after three shots and reach its maximum capability after you shoot the 6th shot.
- The aim occurs after three shots and reaches its peak just after six shots. The Viper rifle resets after the last shot, around 1.5 seconds.
- Ashes’ viper rifle zooms in less, which is why its sensitivity is considered different compared to Ana’s and Widow’s. So stay active if you’re transitioning from Widow and Ana.
Coach Gun
Ashe’s real mobility weapon can perform many functions. It can shoot at enemies and relocate them so you can kill them. If you launch it in the air, you can easily achieve the target. It can also be used to escape or vanish the map, just like Lucio!
She also holds a Coach Gun, her accurate mobility tool, which helps her to duck off the enemies and finish her targets within close range. The Coach Gun fires a powerful setback effect that also causes some light damage and has a ten-second cooldown.
Coach Gun Tips
- To increase the vertical distance travelled so you can know the spots that are far away from reaching, make sure you jump before using the Coach Gun.
- When you take yourself to the sides, over the same distance, Couch Gun will take you in the opposite direction of your firing direction.
- Couch Gun will provide you with a cooldown of 10 seconds, so use it actively and wisely.
- When you crouch jump, the distance remains the same, but while flying, it changes. What will happen? It reduces your hitbox to some extent, which can be useful in some situations.
Dynamite
Ashe has the amazing power of using Dynamite bundles. The explosion causes a moderate amount of destruction to everything within 5 meters and causes higher burn damage for the next 5 seconds. If Ashe gets caught in her own dynamite explosion, she takes only half of the damage.
Ashe’s Dynamite bundles are the most interesting ones; they enable you to kill enemies hiding behind corners or detonate in the most dangerous group of enemies.
Dynamite Tactics
- Always practice using Dynamite as a zoning tool so that when your enemies are moving away, you can close the gap before it explodes.
- By holding the left mouse while throwing Dynamite, you can detonate it rapidly for burst damage.
- While throwing Dynamite, if you are damage boosting, D.O.T. will not increase; however, the initial burst damage will.
- Turrets and barriers are also affected by D.O.T.the effect. It will bounce off if, after your throwing, it comes in contact with the barrier. But it will damage it if it bursts within the range of the barrier.
B.O.B.
Ashe’s Ultimate will call for her omnic butler, B.O.B.B.O.B., in the direction she is facing on the battlefield. B.O.B. has different stages. Firstly, when he hits a wall or an enemy Hero, he moves forward. When hitting a Hero or Heros, he causes severe damage to them by throwing them up in the air, which makes it easy for Ashe’sAshe to kill them with a fine shot. Lastly, B.O.B. will open up a machine gun to its enemy, who is closer to him.
B.O.B. Tips
- With Ashe’s B.O.B., you might think that this is a real hero, but unfortunately, nobody will gain much charge while interacting with him.
- Since B.O.B. is not a real hero, don’t try to make him run or dodge the enemy because he can run off a cliff if you activate him towards the cliff!
- Due to Sombra’s hack, Bob becomes shut down for 10 sec, which is quite harmful for him.
- Bob, while trying to kill Orisa in the air, can be prevented if Orisa fortifies.
- B.O.B. will jump off the cliff. Therefore, don’t activate B.O.B. to run near the cliff.
- You can activate B.O.B. if Reinhard’t is punching you and you don’t possess a Coach Gun to prevent that.
- If, for a free kill, you kill a squishy in the air, use the combo of B.O.B. + scoped headshots.
Attributes of Ashe that Make Her Stand Out
Due to Ashe’s B.O.B. and Dynamite zoning ability, she seemed pretty good. How does Dynamite make her stand out? Well, due to her Dynamite, she can make enemies suffer from behind the barriers.
As damage, Ashe can one-shot squishes, with good aim, endangers the squishes, and they are as good as dead.
With the Coach Gun on high ground or in an area, you can snipe enemies. And just like Lucio, you can use Coach Gun as a way out and boop off the map.
Weaknesses and Counters of Ashe’s
Ashe’s weakness is that she is squishy. She should remain hidden or out of range of dive heroes. Her low H.P. renders her quite endangered when caught off guard.
She can also kill herself with her Dynamite’s Dot. And if she falls, she won’t get damaged much. It’s interesting.
And you know what’s even more enjoyable? Well, her long cooldowns can make other players endangered if not played wisely. Unfortunately, if she gets caught up by enemies from all around, that’s bad for her because she has only the ability to escape. Plus, if she uses a coach gun, she is likely dead.
The fact that she is squishy and can only carry one enemy makes her similar to Cassidy. But when Mauga, a barrier hero, is paired with her, she becomes breathtaking!
If she doesn’t have a barrier to protect her, Hanzo, an enemy Widow, can one-shot her. She is also most likely to be dead if an enemy Genji, Tracer, or Torb is sitting on her and her cooldowns are being used.
Genji is the most difficult enemy to deal with. He can jump and chase you when you are on the high ground with your coach gun.
Her ice block ability, which protects her from Dynamite’s D.O.T. damage, makes Mei one of the difficult enemies, too. And Ashe is most likely to be dead if Mei somehow gets to freeze Ashe.
With the one-shot Rocket Punch, Doomfist, Winston and Wrecking Ball can punch Ashe.
Actions to do After Completing this Guide
The art of practising Ashe is by practising her positioning and aim. It would help if you also practised your aim down sights and hip-fire. You will need those headshots; it’s the only chance you will get them.
It would help if you also improve your positioning. You can do so by locating high areas or grounds.
There will come times when you will need to detonate your Dynamite. So it’s best if you work on detonating it to achieve your goal.
Conclusion
This was your ultimate guide to Ashe, her weapons and abilities, and some tips and tricks. If you know how to play with Ashe, she is not only suitable for sniping D.S.P. heroes but can also pair up with many other heroes like Genji, Ana, and Reinhardt to help you win matches.
