In each new season of Destiny 2, players can get new Exotic Weapons with Exotic Armor to dominate in PvPvE. As there are numerous Exotic Weapons, choosing one can be difficult for the raid, invasion, or general questline. One of the worthy exotic weapons in Destiny 2 is the Navigator Trace Rifle and in this guide, we’ll be going over how you can get the Navigator exotic Trace Rifle and its exotic Catalyst.
How to Get The Navigator in Destiny 2
The Navigator is the brand-new Trace Rifle in Destiny 2 that can only be obtained by completing the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. You need to go through every aspect of the dungeon, defeating every boss especially, the last boss to have a chance of getting the Navigator Trace Rifle. The drop rate for the Navigator is as low as any other exotic weapon in the game and since it can only be obtained by defeating the final boss of the raid, you might have to defeat it multiple times before you get the Trace Rifle.
The Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon is an exotic dungeon meaning, every player has a limited number of tries every week for entering the dungeon until it resets every week. The number of tries for every player to take part and complete the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon is 3. Once players have reached the limit, they will have to wait for the dungeon to reset to continue the grind for the weapon. However, there are several ways through which you can increase your chances of getting the Navigator.
- Completing the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon on Master difficulty.
- Finding all of the collectibles hidden throughout the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon.
- Completing all encounters in the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon without dying.
- Completing the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon solo and without dying.
How to Get the Navigator Catalyst in Destiny 2
To obtain the Navigator Catalyst, you need to activate three Hive Statues by collecting Vestiges of Light from clusters of deceased Ghosts. Once a statue is activated, you will encounter a Lightbearer Acolyte. Inflicting sufficient damage on them compels them to withdraw, prompting you to locate the next statue for activation. We have listed the method to activate each Hive Statue below.
- Statue #1
Find the fallen trees that hide a secret area shortly after your spawn point. Descend through the hole and sprint down the hallway until you reach a heap of deceased Ghosts. Engage with the Ghost pile within a limited one-minute window to deposit your Vestige of Light.
The first statue is located directly ahead, following the dirt road from your spawn point until you reach the first prominent rock on the right. Take a sharp right turn and leap onto the rocks above the glass hole. Deposit the Vestige of Light in the Hive Statue and prepare for an encounter with Thul-Ar, Acolyte of Nokris.
- Statue #2
The second statue is located close to the hidden chest following the extended descent through water. It’s situated along the route to the next water section, ensuring it’s easily noticeable. You’ll find the Ghost pile within an air bubble, with enemies positioned on a ledge to the right. Retrieve the Vestige of Light and transport it back through the earlier water area to reach the statue.
- Statue #3
To locate the third statue and the Ghost pile, you’ll need to defeat Ecthar in the spacious chamber populated with Shriekers and various adversaries. The Ghost pile is positioned to the right, close to the entrance, while the statue is perched atop the structure above the doorway on the opposite side of the room.
After depositing the Vestige of Light in every Hive Statue and defeating Thul-Ar, Acolyte of Nokris, a chest will appear behind the 3rd Hive Statue providing you with a Navigator Catalyst.
