How To Get New Exotic Armor in Destiny 2

Exotic Armor in Destiny 2 is the highest rarity tier of equipment, offering powerful and unique benefits. These armor prices provide unique perks and can significantly impact a Guardian’s abilities and gameplay. You can obtain exotics through a variety of methods, including completing quests, purchasing them from vendors like Xur. These armor types are also obtained through random drops from gameplay. Many exotics have a lore or story associated with them. This explains their origins or the unique properties they have. You need to visit Rahool and reset his reputation rank in order to gain new Exotic armor in Destiny 2. 

Reputation with Rahool is earned by decrypting Exotic Engrams or completing precision decryption. Once you reach the maximum rank with Rahool, you’ll need to reset it to rank 1. Doing so will unlock the fourth tab. Find a new tab on Rahool’s inventory screen after resetting. You can use Exotic Ciphers and Exotic Engrams in this tab to buy new Exotic armor pieces. How to Obtain New Exotic Armor

We’re going over a quick and updated guide on how any new or returning player can quickly and easily unlock new exotic armor in Destiny 2. If you’ve been away from Destiny for a while, you’ll discover that things are quite different when it comes to earning and farming new exotic armor. It’s no longer purely reliant on farming law sectors, but instead it’s done through Master Rahool and his special exotic focusing. This new system allows players to claim the exact exotic that’s wanted instead of it being left a chance. Each season, you’ll be able to rank up your reputation with Master Rahool. As you level up through this new vendor system, you’ll unlock access to the Exotic focusing Pages. This means you will have to rank up with Master Rahool each and every episode. 

The first page of exotic focusing lets you cash in on exotic ingrams to get a random exotic of whichever armor piece you select. The second page lets you cash in on an exotic Ingram to get a random exotic armor piece from any of the previous expansions. However, once you unlock the third page, you’ll have open access to all of the exotic armor pieces that you’ve already unlocked. This way, you can turn in an exotic Ingram, some glimmer, and ascendant shards and get a random rolled drop of whichever exotic you so desire. By unlocking the final page, you’ll be able to cash in an exotic Cipher with an exotic Ingram to claim any of the new exotic armor pieces that you don’t already have. 

You’ll level up your reputation with Master Rahool by decrypting legendary and exotic ingrams. This is set up just like any other vendor, with a total of 16 ranks, and you’ll need 6,000 points of rep in total. You’ll need to reach rank 16 to be able to unlock that final focusing page. You’ll gain 100 points of rep for every Prime Ingram, 150 points on every exotic Ingram, and by using the advanced exotic focusing, you’ll gain 250 points of rep. By performing a tier 2 exotic Focus, you’ll earn 500 points of rep. So in total, you’re looking at around 40 exotic ingrams, 24 Advanced focuses, or 12 tier 2 focuses, or a combination of those to be able to reach rank 16.

Exotic ingrams can drop from any enemy and any activity. For the most lucrative source of farming these, you’ll want to hit up the seasonal episode activities, Nightfall strike, and legendary law sectors. The reason is that the ranking system resets at the end of each episode, so it would be a good idea for you to carry over exotic ingrams. In total, your character can retain up to 10 ingrams with your postmaster holding 20. This would make it a lot easier to be able to unlock the new Exotics when each episode launches. With that said, we are expecting at least one new exotic armor piece for each class.

Blastwave Striders (Titan)

• Mobility: 14

• Intellect: 46
• Strength: 67 

Gain resistance to your explosives. Defeat targets to charge this armor. Once Charged, slide or deal explosive self-damage to rocket jump backward and blast deadly shrapnel projectiles that spawn Stasis on impact. Charged rocket jumps grant Frost Armor. Around ~1-2% HP from self-damage with Blastwave Striders equipped. When procing that Rocket jump, you will be getting Frost Armor time 5. This will last for 10 seconds. 

Mask of Fealty (Hunter)

• Mobility: 44
• Resilience: 84
• Recovery: 84
• Discipline: 81
• Intellect: 61
• Strength: 38 

Withering Blade hits and bounces create a small Stasis Crystal and refund a portion of melee energy. Using Withering Blade to shatter crystals or frozen targets releases a spread of Withering Blades. 

Rime-Coat Raiment (Warlock)

Your Bleak Watcher turrets are enhanced with extended range and are surrounded by Stasis crystals and a storm. While standing in the storm, you are granted icicles over time. Icicles activate when you fire your weapons, applying Slow to targets they hit. 

Keep in mind that Rahool is the main source for new Exotic armor. It’s worth mentioning that the Legendary and Master Lost Sectors can also drop Exotic armor. Completing the Legendary Lightfall campaign allows you to earn a class-specific Exotic armor piece. You gain reputation with Rahool primarily by decrypting engrams. The engrams are both legendary and exotic. Rahool will reset after reaching max reputation with him. A new page will be unlocked under the “Focus Decoding” tab after resetting Rahool. Utilize the exotic ciphers and engrams to purchase new exotic armor pieces on the new page. Focus on specific exotic engrams, like speaker site engrams, to gain more reputation. Completing a Tier 2 exotic can also contribute to Rahool’s reputation in Destiny 2. You can acquire the exotic ciphers from Xur or other sources to level up Rahool. Rahool can decrypt Exotic engrams with extreme precision.
