Introduction
The Blue Gate:
Bad map equals a Bad Game, and that’s it, you can’t enjoy a game if the map it offers is just bland or has no soul or nothing good about it. Making a map is also not an easy task infact it is one of the hardest things in game design to build a map that is balanced yet interesting enough to gauge the player’s attention while also having an element of replayability.

That’s why a lot of emphasis is put on the map design in the game design stage of the development. A good map can carry the game for a longer period of time. The best example of that is Dust 2 and the quote, “if a game supports a custom map, there’s a Dust 2.”
So in this blog, we are going to talk about the blue game, which is a Map of arc raiders. Since Arc Raider has won the multiplayer game of the year award of 2025. Hence, there are a lot of new players who want to learn the game and ofcourse it’s map. And in this blog, we are going to talk about that in depth.

The Map
So the blue gate is the fourth addition in the roster of maps in Arc Raiders. It is the final map of the game, which you’ll unlock at last. It has wide open areas and has a hefty ARC presence in it. Which makes it a lot harder to roam around the map and explore it freely, even for players who are quite good at the game.
The map does not have a lot of loot in the foreground of it, but it kinda makes sense because you will find the loot in the underground, which is a safer place since there’ll be fewer arcs there.
Apart from that, the map also has 17 different locations where there are mission quests hidden. It has two high loot points and 4 medium ones. I’ll list down the best locations to loot on this map
Loot Zones
| Loot zone | Loot tier |
| Warehouse Complex | Medium Loot |
| Ancient fort | Medium Loot |
| Raider’s refuge | Medium Loot |
| Village | Medium Loot |
| Gate Approach | High Loot |
| Pilgrim’s Peak | High Loot |
This table shows the primary loot locations on The Blue Gate map along with their loot tier, helping players decide between safer routes and higher-risk, higher-reward zones.
Underground Loot & Threats
Now, since I already mentioned that most of the loot is in the underground of the map, it basically means that there are going to be raiders in there, and you’ll need to be careful about them, since a lot of players are super aggressive and just trigger-happy. Not only that, but you’ll also encounter ARCs like bastions and Bombardier, which takes the challenge of wandering into the underground to a whole new level.
So what i would suggest you to do for your first few game sessions is to either be a rat or just keep a low profile and only react on things when they are in your favour, if you spot a raider or a squad of them you don’t need to kill them until they find you, same is the case with the ARCs.
If underground runs start feeling too punishing or time-consuming early on, players short on time often use Arc Raiders progression services to unlock maps and gear safely before committing to higher-risk areas.
Playing Topside: A Safer Alternative
But if you wanna avoid the headache altogether, then just avoid going underground and just stay on topside; there are two good loot zones as well. The pilgrim’s peak and the ancient fort. They also provide you a chance to scope out a good chunk of the map because these two locations are on the peak of the map.
Players who prioritize visibility and positioning often survive longer on The Blue Gate by starting with topside routes before attempting underground exploration.
First-Hand Experience
From repeated runs on The Blue Gate, most early deaths happen underground due to overlapping ARC patrols and unexpected raider encounters. Players who delay underground exploration until they understand ARC movement patterns and sound behavior consistently extract more successfully and lose fewer kits.
