Apex Legends Space Hunt

Respawn has officially revealed the mid-season update and it looks promising. With Apex Legends Shockwave having a rough start since its launch back in August, fans were disappointed with changes to the battle pass system. It was reversed later on before getting implemented.

Here is everything you need to know about Apex Legends Season 22 Update v22.1 patch notes.

When is Apex Legends Season 22 Update v22.1 coming?

The next Apex Legends Season 22 update is coming soon on September 17, 2024. This will be the second half of the Shockwave season. It will include a new Battle Pass and cosmetics including a new Heirloom.

Here is a list of all the content coming with the Apex Legends mid-season update.

  • New Battle Pass – Each season has two battle passes now
  • New LTM and Duos
  • New event
  • New Heirloom or Prestige skin
  • New map rotation
  • Balance changes
  • New shop sections and cosmetics

Changes to Legends

V22.1 will also be including a major change to Valkyrie getting a rework. However, the speculations of Crypto being nerfed are still untrue, we are still getting a ton of balance changes to different Legends. Fuse, Rampart, Revenant and Valkyrie all are receiving buffs and nerfs.

Space Hunt Event and Knockout mode

There is also a new event coming on September 17 called the Space Hunt event. This event will run through October 8, 2024. The event will include the limited-time mode Knockout, which includes 60 players and 20 squads in a battle royale setting. Players will need to capture zones and EVO to carry out more points to win in Knockout.

New Weekly Challenges and rewards

There will be a new set of weekly challenges and new skins and cosmetics, which you can unlock by completing the challenges. E-District is also going through different map changes in the new v22.1 update.

Respawn also added their take on the new update “You should be rewarded for surviving to the late game. More consistent access to high-value loot with Loot Bins has been a great reward, however the rewards were a bit too generous. We’ve reduced the rates of the best items that end the loot chase too soon to maintain the value of continuous looting after Loot Bin Reset. Additionally, no one loves the experience of opening a Loot Bin and seeing something they want, only to have the reset slam it shut in their face. Getting that loot onto the ground ensures you get the full value out of a Loot Bin regardless of the reset timing.Ensuring there will be more high-tier loot spots and loot bins starting with the new update.

Legend Changes and Valkyrie rework

Fuse radius scan getting nerf

Fuse is getting nerfed in the new Apex Legends patch 22.1. His scan area to see enemies inside the mortar ring is getting lowered in radius. There will be a total radius of 450 now. Devs also added “We gave Fuse the ability to see enemies inside the mortar ring as a quality of life improvement. The scan area would scale as large as necessary to match the area of the ring. This had the unintended side effect of giving a very large scan area when shot on tall objects. Our intention for the ult is to primarily be an area of effect ability, not an information gathering ability.

Valkyrie getting reworked to a Recon Legend

Apex Legends Valkyrie

Valkyrie was one of the best Skirmishers in the game. She is now getting a new life by getting reworked as a Recon Legend. Her refuel delay is also lowered down to 4 seconds. Better mobility while using a jetpack and she’s receiving upgrades to all her abilities.

  • Aerial Expert is now removed
  • Full Coverage is now level 2 and cooldowns are lower.
  • Newly added Eyes in the Sky, Valkyries can now scan enemies from even farther away and also through walls. With a 40m increase to her HUD scan.

Reasons for Valkyrie rework by team also surface “Do you prefer the combat strength gained from jetpack and tactical upgrades? Or will you opt for skydiving upgrades that can help you spot good landing locations in crowded endgames? Regardless, Threat Vision while jetpacking and her skydive HUD solidify her as a unique Recon pick: “They can have the ground, I own the sky.
