Dota 2 TI 2024 had one of the biggest matches in the history of its final with two of the biggest teams. Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators are long rivals in Dota 2 and have faced each other in many Grand Finals. They have been against each other in different tournaments in the past few months. Dota 2 also revealed the newest hero Kez at the TI finals stage.
Gaimin Gladiators usually have been glorious in those matches against Team Liquid. However, on the occasion of the biggest tournament TI13, Liquid conquered the victory. The Grand Finals of Dota 2 TI 2024 went to a 3-0 series, with Liquid getting crowned as Champions.

Dota 2 TI13 Match 1 – Mickie drops a triple kill
The first match for the finals series at TI13 was very intense. Gaimin Gladiators banned Rubick. Team Liquid was allowed to play Tusk. Rubick is one of the greatest heroes for counters. Firestorm is a good mix with Rubick as well as the Pit of Malice. But Team Liquid played Tusk very well.
They used Tusk to initiate the lanes and have longer fights to gain advantage. Dyracho with CK kept rotating back to mid-lane to get Nisha’s Puck. They used Smoke and CK’s stun to help Nisha. Liquid Nisha only died once in these fights. Gaimin Gladiators were quite lost in killing the mid-lane players which cost them the match.
Star of the first match was Mickie with Nature’s Prophet. He used Gleipnir and played long range dealing good damage. He played back and did his job very effectively. Mickie scored an insane triple kill using his long-range strategy. They did hold Gaimin very well and kept moving ahead. The first match was well-deserved by Team Liquid.
Dota 2 TI13 Match 2- Mickie picked Nature’s Prophet once again
Mickie instalocked Nature’s Prophet for the second match again. 33 played Bristleback and he was unstoppable after the early game. Bristle was unstoppable and Gaimin Gladiators could not figure to counter the hero. Team Liquid played the Tusk and Shadow Demon combo repeatedly. All of Liquid heroes and picks were more focused on long-range and tanks. They kept rotating mid-lane and won their fights making them unstoppable throughout the match.
Also, the Naga Siren pick was very good for holding the mid-lane. Tofu was great with Naga Siren, he was able to utilize the tank more than anybody and help win the fights.
Dota 2 TI13 Match 3- Nisha Ultimate’s three heroes with Puck
The third game was neck to neck as both teams were giving their fullest. Team Liquid Mickie Once again went with Nature’s Prophet. He was so confident in his playstyle. However, he played a bit differently in the third match.
Nisha played Puck and Boxi played Willow both were really good at their heroes. They helped change the dynamics of the match and fights were on full intensity. Nisha’s Puck helped separate the support heroes. His top moment was when he used Puck Ult on three heroes. Nisha’s Puck farmed enough Dream Coils which helped him changing the dynamics of the match.
Team Liquid has been crowned the Dota 2 TI 2024 Champions. They won over 1.1 Million USD in prize money. It was their second-ever TI win. 33 also became the first player to have won two TIs with two different roasters. He is now officially the two-time Champion.
