Total Platforms supported By xDefiant – 2024

After delivering one of the best tactical shooters in recent years. Ubisoft has decided to release another first-person shooter for their player base. This time they tried something new which is giving away this game for free. This free-to-play game is called xDefiant. The game was in development for around 4 years.

xdefiant

Now that it has been released we have to talk about on which platforms you could play this game and what performance you can expect from each platform. On the contrary, the game does offer cross-platform gameplay. So you can easily play with your buddies on different platforms than yours.

xDefiant has mixed reviews. Some people loved it, while others couldn’t stand this game. In my opinion, it is a solid game considering the quality it provides, and it costs nothing. But this blog is not a review, so let’s move on.

PC:

The first platform I am going to talk about is the biggest one. xDefiant’s PC port has been a success, but the game is not available on Steam for some reason. Maybe it’s because Steam takes a cut from every transaction, but whatever the reason, you might not be able to play the game using Steam. You would have to download the game via the Ubisoft store.

That is a caveat of the game. Apart from that the game is pretty enjoyable. Here are the system requirements of the game.  And please for the love of gaming do not play the game on a sub-par PC.

Components:System Requirements (Minimum)System Requirements (Recommended)
CPU:AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or I7 4790kAMD Ryzen 5 1600 or I7 4790k

Storage:35 GB35 GB

Vertex Shader:6.06.0
Operating System:Windows 10 or Windows 11 only 64-bit Versions.Windows 11 64-bit

Although you could play the game with much weaker hardware than this I would recommend you get a good enough pc for the game since it is competitive and the hitches and lags during your gameplay would make things sour. Anyway here’s a link to download your Game.

Playstation 5:

Playstation 5 is the one platform where the game is still going strong. While the accurate count for concurrent players is not accurate. but there are thousands upon thousands of players who play this game regularly and why shouldn’t the game be free to play without any requirements for a PlayStation Plus subscription. The game only needs 30 GB of space which means that against its competition of games like Call of Duty Warzone and Battlefield 2042, it requires 88% less space.

Not only that the PS5 hardware is powerful enough for this game that it’ll allow you to play on higher refresh rates. If you have not played the game yet I would suggest you just try it atleast once and then form your opinion.

Xbox series “S” and Series “X”:

Xbox has the smallest share of the player base out of the three platforms that this game is available for. Only a couple of hundred players play XDefiant on Xbox This number can be a little off since you can’t know for sure how many players are playing the game at any given moment.  You can play the game with your pc also via using your Xbox controller. you would mostly get placed into the matches with other console players due to using a controller.

But the good thing is that both of the Xboxes are powerful enough to run this game on higher frame rates. The only downside about xDefiant on Xbox is as most new games do xDefiant will lose some of its momentum shortly. Since the player base is already smaller on this platform it will shrink down even more.

Final Words:

That’s it from my side the future of this game is in the hands of Ubisoft. If they manage to come up with a banger update and deliver us new and fresh content. As for now, the game has a healthy player count but I don’t know if it will survive shortly. Considering that competition is high in this genre. Leave a comment down below about which console you use to play this game or you could also share your pc’s specs.
