The PTR build 11.0.5 just received updated patch notes from Blizzard unveiling the new Shaman Ascendance forms along with the new Glyphs. The newly designed Shaman Ascendance forms look promising and even better with the ability to change them using the glyphs so that players can experience Shaman ability utilization to their liking. These new designs will replace the 12-year-old transformation models of Shaman, but to be fair though, they do look cleaner, especially than the previous batch that Blizzard shared.
Shaman New Ascendance Forms Coming in Patch 11.0.5
Moreover, the new Ascendance models of Shaman are for all three specializations (Fire, Air, and Water), giving each Ascendance form a more improved look than before. The initial batch for Shaman Ascendance forms also showcased improved textures and all, but a majority of players disagreed with them, mainly due to wild hair effects.
With all the negative feedback on the Ascendance forms, the Devs updated the forms and made them cleaner with trimmed hair, elemental skeletal face, and adding helm and pauldrons to its armor. Moreover, the Devs also left a note for players in the latest patch notes, offering players to use either Ascendance forms by using the Glyphs.
“Developer’s note: With this week’s PTR deploy, the new Ascendance has received some additional updates following player feedback. For players that would prefer to use the previous version of the new Ascendance model or the older version of the Ascendance model, there will be glyphs that will let players change their Ascendance model. These glyphs will be purchasable with gold from Flamesmith Lanying in the Shaman Order Hall.”
Change Shaman’s Forms with Traditional and Energetic Glyphs
The addition of Glyphs is what makes the Shaman Ascendance form change more valuable for players, as all players won’t be bound to use the new forms. They can easily change between the forms by using the Glyph of Traditional Ascendance and the Glyph of Energetic Ascendance.
- Glyph of Traditional Ascendance – Your Ascendance transformations embody their traditional (hooded) forms.
- Glyph of Energetic Ascendance – Your Ascendance transformations embody energetic forms, unleashing their power.
Fans are certainly happy with the new batch of Ascendance forms, but the addition of glyphs is a win for everyone. Moreover, fans are speculating that these customizable changes are the first of many to come for Shaman, as Blizzard did to Druids in WoW: Dragonflight Patch 10.2.
Furthermore, the announcement of patch 11.0.5 for Public Test Realm (PTR) also includes Blackrock Depths raid testing, a nerf to Dracthyr’s glide for non-Evokers, more locations for the Dark Iron Dwarf Mole Machine, and additional class balances.
World of Warcraft Patch 11.0,5 is expected to be launched at the end of October, next month. We are excited to see all of the changes in this big patch including the 20th-anniversary event.
