In the past two days, two main Sentinels Valorant pro players have announced their retirement from the game. TenZ, one of the most popular pro players and fan favorites known as the “GOAT of Valorant” announced his retirement on his X account.
Sentinels shared a tribute video for TenZ following the event of his retirement later on X. Following TenZ, Another Legend from Sentinels Sacy also announced his retirement the very next day. Sacy has been part of Sentinels from 2022 and is a Valorant 2022 World Champion.

TenZ moreover highlighted that he knew 2024 would be his last season for Valorant competitive gameplay. He is now one of the most famous pro-Valorant Esports players to have retired in this generation. He has won multiple trophies and a Valorant World Championship to his name.
Tyson “TenZ” Ngo has been a professional FPS player for many years. He started his career with CS:GO. He joined Cloud9 as a CS:GO pro player and he was known for his aim and CS:GO map knowledge.
Following the release of Valorant in 2020, TenZ started to finally get famous for his aim in Valorant. He was the most viewed pro player in Valorant and he also streamed and made other content on YouTube.
This has been marked as the end of an era after fans stormed X about giving their regards to Tyson on his retirement.
TenZ Valorant Career
TenZ was a part of the Cloud9 Valorant team when the competitive season started in the start. He represented them for one year as a pro player and a streamer. After that, he joined Sentinels and was a part of SEN until his retirement. He joined SEN in 2021 as they gave him a full contract.
There have been ups and downs in Sentinel’s overall career but it is one of the most fan-favorite teams in the world. TenZ has led SEN to victory starting with Stage 1 Masters in 2021 after his joining and Masters Reykjavik which was the first international VCT tournament. Finally made Sentinels lift the 2024 Masters Madrid Trophy. They also placed 4th place in the recent VCT Champions 2024 Seoul.
However, TenZ will still be a part of the Sentinel Organization and will be making content for them. He will also be available as a substitute for the Sentinels Valorant Team in case of need.
Sacy announcing retirement following TenZ
Sacy is known as one of the best Initiator mains in Valorant Esports. He announced his retirement the very next day of TenZ. Bringing the sad news of his departure from Valorant competitive gaming and as a member of Sentinels.
Gustavo “Sacy” is one of the few Valorant Pro Players who have won multiple International Valorant Tournaments. He has that history for multiple teams. Sentinels also shared a tribute video for Sacy following his retirement announcement. It has been an emotional few days for Sentinels as a team and company.
Sacy also stated that it is time for the world to know more about himself as Gustavo other than Sacy. Promising we will be seeing more content from him soon.
Sacy Valorant Career
Sacy started his Valorant career early as well with the launch of the game and he mainly played Brazil tournaments for Valorant. As it is his home country. He was a part of Team Vikings and he helped them conquer Brazil’s region in the 2021 Stage 1 Masters. He made them win Stage 1 Masters. They also placed Top 6 placement at Masters Reykjavik.
In early 2022 Sacy joined LOUD and it was one of the strongest roasters in the Valorant Esports history. They placed 2nd place in Masters Reykjavik 2022. He also helped LOUD lift the VCT World Championship that year.
After that, in 2023 onwards Sacy became a part of Sentinels till 2024. Where he finally announces his retirement from the Esports World of Valorant. Sentinels have had 2023 as a slow year and it was not their full potential. But starting with 2024 both TenZ and Sacy in Sentinels helped lift their team to the 2024 Masters Madrid Trophy. Their final competitive event ended at the 4th place in Valorant Champions 2024 in Seoul.
