Agent Updates
Killjoy Turret Placement Improvements
Killjoy has received a quality-of-life update focused on turret placement mechanics.
Previously, players often had to reposition their character to adjust the direction of their turret. Patch 12.04 introduces new controls that allow players to rotate the turret before placing it.
Precision Rotation
Players can now rotate the turret while holding the ability before placement.
How it works:
- Hold the turret ability.
- Right-click to rotate the turret smoothly.
- Adjust the turret direction before placing it.
This update allows players to set defensive angles more accurately.
Quick Flip Feature
Killjoy also receives a Quick Flip function for faster turret positioning.
How to use Quick Flip:
- Hold the turret ability.
- Press E (or your ability activation key).
- The turret will instantly rotate 180 degrees.
This feature allows players to quickly change turret direction without moving their character.
Sova Voice Line Update
Sova did not receive gameplay balance changes in Patch 12.04, but Riot added several new voice lines to the agent.
For example, when eliminating an enemy agent, Sova may now say:
“The hunt doesn’t always go as planned. Does it?”
These additions enhance character immersion and personality during gameplay.
PC-Only Updates
Patch 12.04 also introduces several interface updates for PC players.
Career Screen UI Overhaul
The End of Game screen and Career tab now feature a redesigned layout with improved readability.
The new interface provides a clearer overview of match performance and player progression.
Improved Match Tracking
The Progression, Summary, and Timeline tabs have been updated to make match history easier to understand.
Players can now track their gameplay progression more clearly across multiple matches.
Rank Match Summary
Riot has also added a new ranked match summary system.
After a ranked match, players will now see exactly:
- how much Rank Rating (RR) they gained
- how much Rank Rating they lost
This change improves transparency for competitive progression.
Career and Friends Page Updates
Both the Career page and Friends list interface have received visual redesigns as part of the UI update.
The goal of these changes is to make navigation smoother and information easier to read.
Premier Stage Changes
Riot has also announced updates to the Premier competitive stage schedule.
Premier Matches Start Date
Premier matches for the current stage will begin on:
March 18
Premier Season Length Adjustment
The Act 2 Premier stage for 2026 has been shortened.
| Previous Duration | New Duration |
|---|---|
| 7 weeks | 6 weeks |
This adjustment slightly shortens the competitive season.
Playoff Qualification Requirement
The Premier Score requirement for playoffs has been lowered.
| Requirement | Score |
|---|---|
| Playoff Qualification | 600 Premier Score |
Lowering the score requirement makes it slightly easier for teams to qualify.
