From lessons of the past, the future is forged with Overwatch 2 x TRANSFORMERS. Stand side by side with the AUTOBOTS – Bastion as Bumblebee, Reinhardt as Optimus Prime Reinhardt, and Illari as Arcee. Having previously partnered with Cowboy Bepop and One Punch Man, many beloved Overwatch 2 heroes have been put in the shoes of iconic characters from each pop-culture series.
Overwatch 2 Season 11 is bringing a major collaboration with the Transformers and Four OW2 heroes confirmed (Ramattra, Bastion, Reinhardt, and Illari) to get their own themed cosmetics, skins, and emotes inspired by the iconic Transformers franchise.
Release date
According to the Season 11 roadmap, the Transformers collab will drop on Tuesday, July 9. The new content will be available to the in-game files with the mid-season patch which releases earlier than expected. The new content will be available at 7:00 pm BST / 11:00 am PT / 2 PM EST / 8 PM CET. The end date of the event hasn’t been announced but it is expected to last between two to three weeks or end on July 30 at the earliest.

New skins in the Overwatch 2 Transformers event
There are four total skins as part of the OW2 x Transformers event, and they’re for tanks Ramattra and Reinhardt, support hero Illari, and damage hero Bastion. These skins will likely be available from the in-game shop, which you can purchase with Overwatch Coins which is the premium in-game currency.

Reinhardt – Optimus Prime

Ramattra – Megatron
To decimate the Autobots all by himself, Ramattra’s massive arms in his Nemesis form turn into huge cannons that Megatron can utilize. It could be as the two robotic rivals if next time your Ramattra faces off against the opposing team’s Reinhardt. You can purchase this skin for 2,500 Overwatch Coins.

Bastion – Bumblebee

Illari – Arcee
Arcee is a new Legendary skin for support hero Illari that gives all three of the game’s roles a cosmetic in the event. Arcee has often been blacked out as a female Autobot, pinkish color, and has been known to transform into a convertible car. Only for 2,500 Overwatch Coins, you can buy this skin for Illari.

OVERWATCH 2 X TRANSFORMERS: EVENT CHALLENGES & REWARDS
The Overwatch 2 x Transformers event will likely feature free Transformers-themed cosmetics and rewards unlocked through gameplay challenges, just like previous in-game events.
Each gameplay challenge may reward players with cosmetics, weapon charm, emote, player title, character voice line, or even a possible skin. Those players who win games will also be granted double progress toward challenge completion alongside Season 11 Battle Pass XP.
Blizzard Entertainment has yet to disclose if there will be a specific Transformers-themed LTM game mode for the crossover event.
There’s a possibility that an OW2 x Transformers game mode could be poised as a 1v3 Arcade LTM mode as Autobots vs. Decepticons. Rammattra was featured as the villain in the OW2 x Transformers comic, fitting with his character arc. Players will be able to play as Reinhardt, Bastion, and Illari, to take him down and restore peace.

There are a total of six overwatch 2 Transformers event challenges. To complete them, you must complete 120 games. The Overwatch 2 Transformers event challenges and rewards reference either the Autobots or Decepticons. Remember that a match victory means faster progress. Completing the challenges will let you customize your account to show off your favorite faction in the Transformers universe.
