Marvel Rivals Season 2 is already about to end and includes the recent release of Ultron and Emma Frost. The new heroes brought new playstyles in the game and recently shifted the competitive meta. What Role is Blade in Marvel Rivals
Blade is coming soon in Marvel Rivals and according to some leaked voice lines, Blade is related to Dracula. His attacks and abilities include a special sword, which is called Dracula’s Sword. According to one of his voice lines, he is focused on bringing down vampire threats in multiple dimensions.
Blade will be a Duelist role hero in Marvel Rivals and will shift the meta with his aggressive gameplay and close-combat due to his main Sword weapon.
Marvel Rivals Blade Release date
Blade is set to arrive with Marvel Rivals Season 3 and it will arrive sometime in August 2025. However, the exact release date is not confirmed as these are through recent leaks on Twitch and by Marvel Rivals data miners.
All Blade Abilities in Marvel Rivals
Blade is a close-range DPS with some range abilities and will likely play a Duelist role. You can switch between a Sword and a Heavy Hunting Shotgun on Blade. This gives him high mobility and you can switch your playstyle accordingly. His main highlight is his unique Vampire ability which makes him aggressive.
Here are all the abilities for Blade in Marvel Rivals.
- Blade Chopper (Primary Fire 1): Use Dracula’s Sword to slash in front of you, inflicting damage to the enemy you hit.
- Hunting Gun (Primary Fire 2):Â Use a hunting shotgun to fire a long-range explosive fragmentation round that delivers a large amount of shrapnel at the point of detonation.
- Step and Chop (Shift):Â Sprint forward, if wielding a gun, shoot an enemy and apply to reduce healing; if wielding a sword, slash an enemy and apply to reduce movement speed.
- Blood Liberation (E): Activate vampiric bloodline, all blood becomes Dracula’s blood, gain stronger senses, can’t be healed at this time, but can restore Dracula’s blood by inflicting damage.
- Damage Block (RMB): Use Dracula’s Sword to set up a sword stance that reduces damage from in front of you.
- Ultimate (Q): After building up your strength for a short period of time, you quickly unsheathe your sword and charge forward, while releasing a powerful Chop and leaving Dracula’s Sword frantically chopping the area behind you.
However, these were leaked in a recent data mining leak and can change accordingly. An official announcement will be made closer to the release of Marvel Rivals Season 3. Blade will also be able to utilize a Team-Up with Cloak & Dagger, making him more effective.
