Destiny Rising Gauntlet: Onslaught Raid Guide

In-game events are the best way to get new players into the game or to keep your existing players while also retaining the lost ones. But that event has to be worth it because, without the event being fun or worth playing, you might even lose the players you do have currently. Not only do these new events bring in more revenue to the game, thanks to new cosmetics being released, which target the new audience of the game.

Destiny Rising Gauntlet Onslaught featuring intense battles and fast-paced action in a challenging arena.

But in some games companies do actually want an event that builds trust and gives back to the community. These events include races of competition, and whichever team comes first in that race gets awarded with different rewards. Now, in this blog, we are going to talk about that type of event in this blog. Because we are going to be talking about Destiny Rising’s new event called “Gauntlet Onslaught”. I am going to guide you on how to get prepared for it and how to win every encounter of this event.

Tired of failed raid runs and wasted hours? The fix is easy — buy Gauntlet Onslaught boost with Immortalboost and let our pros carry you through.

How it works:

The restrictions:

So firstly, to make the competition more balanced, NetEase has decided to make some changes. So the first one is that weapons mods would be disabled, the second thing that would be restricted is that exotic weapons would be locked to the catalyst node 1, and the gear would be locked at level 80. Character talents, as well as the light-linked companions, would also not be a part of the raid.  Which means that now the playing field is no longer affected by the ones who have stuff and the ones who do not. Now it is all about strategy and teamwork.

The events are broken into three different encounters, and each of them has its own different mechanics and objectives. There are also rewards for completing the event quicker than other teams. The top 100 teams that will complete the raid will get rewarded with a Dynamic Emblem.

Encounters:

Encounter 1: The break-in

The goal of this encounter is to build a bridge by holding plates, carrying the access key, getting the Schorch cannon, and destroying the breakers. You have to do this rotation until you destroy the 3 breakers.

The flow:

As soon as you take the drop into the game, you get waves of enemies coming at you; killing them is necessary to make the space more manageable. Keep in mind that the revives you could get are limited here.

Two sentry captains spawn, and when you or your team kills them, they drop an access key, which will allow you and your team to cross the barrier to the next section. Since there are only two keys therefore only players can cross the bridge at a time.

So there are plates on each side of the bridge, which can be used to extend the bridge, so you have to place a guardian on each plate to extend the bridge, which allows the keyholder to cross it.

After crossing the bridge, you have to kill a shielded vandal behind a barrier, which will drop a scorch cannon. Now use that cannon to shoot the active barre node. Keep in mind that only one barrier is destroyable per cycle.

In rotations & repeats, in the first cycle, Team 1 has keys and Teams 2 and 3 hold the plates. In the second cycle, team 2 gets the keys, and teams 1 and 3 hold down the plates. Lastly, team 3 gets the keys, and teams 1 and 2 hold the plates. In the last cycle, there’s a garrison servitor that will spawn right on the plates that you have to kill to activate the plates to extend the bridge.

Encounter 2: The Menace Above:

In the second encounter, you have to collect the power cells and have to use them as a shield to get past the high voltage fields, and then deposit the cells in an elevator.

The flow:

At the start, there’s a barrier that blocks your access to the first power cells. A player must solve a code puzzle by using a smaller side monitor to match symbols that are visible on the main screen. Solving the puzzle will remove the barrier.

Once you solve the puzzle, you get access to the power cells. When you carry them, they generate a field of protection around you and nearby teammates. This protects you from that high-voltage damage. After clearing the path, the carrier of the power cells should dunk it in the elevator, and this will count as one cycle.

Later on in the cycles, the arena splits the team. Two players go into different control rooms, and each of the two players gets to face a  Garrison Servitor, and killing it grants a console code and thus further the progress. Throughout this encounter, Scorch Vandals will spawn, and upon death, they will drop scorch cannons, which are needed to destroy certain circuit breakers for the next stage.

Upon the third cycle of power cell depositing, the elevator will get activated and will lift the team to the next encounter.

Encounter 3: Issakis’s Tabernacle

This is the last encounter of the Raid, and in it, you have to cycle through by destroying the breaker, portal-based weak spots, marking, and then you have to deal heavy DPS phases on Issakis.

After spawning, you’ll immediately get to meet with two precision shinkas on opposite sides. Break their shield and kill them fast, and once they are down, Issakis will teleport to a side.

Now, on each side, the scorch vandals would spawn, kill them and take their scorch cannons, and use those to destroy the blue objects, fuses, and breakers of both sides of the boss. When both sets are destroyed. Issakis will move to the other side, and this process will repeat on that side.

After you destroy both breakers, Issakis will return to the center, and two close-range shinkas will spawn. Now you have to kill them quickly. Upon killing them, two portals will open, and one player per portal is the limit. Inside each portal room, the player battles a Servitor, and killing it would grant them access to a monitor, which will let them see the vulnerable spot of the boss. They could ping this for their teammates. Once the call is made, the other team should target those spots. But be careful, targeting the wrong limb can get you killed.

Once the damage window ends or the health threshold is met, the cycle repeats itself. And usually there are two damage phases in the fight, and the second one is usually a lot harder than the first one. After completing the second damage phase, Issakis falls, and you clear the raid.

Conclusion:

That was it for the Gauntlet onslaught raid. The event is very hard and can often become a source of frustration. So it is vital to only play it as a game and not take it too literally or personally. Since you’re not going to get a lot of rewards for it. Do it and try to have fun with your teammates because the hassle is not fun without your teammates and you having fun together.
