Moreover, we might see a rank reset coming with Season 3, similar to CS2 S2. According to Valve, “At the start of the new Season, you will need to re-establish your CS Rating by winning 10 matches,”. The rank reset requirement is needed to help recalibrate the rank and set how competitive lobbies work in Season 3.
CS2 Premier Season 3 Release Date
Counter-Strike 2 Season 3 is set to start after the current limited-time items expire in the game. Valve usually releases updates on Tuesday, so Season 3 is expected to release on July 16. According to leaks, the new season will arrive after Austin Major is finished. Moreover, there are 14 days left for limited-time items, and Season 3 should arrive after these are reset.
Cache map to be added in Map Pool Season 3
One of the major leaks is surrounding the return of the Cache map in CS2 Season 3. Last season, we got the Train in the map pool. Valve has acquired the rights for the map and we might see it soon in-game. Overpass can also be included in competitive map pool for Season 3.
