Worst Brawlers in Brawl Stars in the Current Meta, May 2025

The landscape of competitive gaming is changing rapidly. Each game is trying to survive by being a little different from its competitors, but not so much that the players have to learn their games from scratch, because doing that might make the players leave the game altogether and with this restriction in place we are seeing games which are identical or nearly identical to other games.

Another thing that game companies have to make sure of is the frequency of updates that they have to push for their games. Because if they don’t give new content to gamers from time to time. Then the players would get bored with the game and stop playing it. Thus, the game company will lose players and revenue. So that’s why we see so many unbalanced updates to the game nowadays. This blog will be on something similar because in this blog, we will talk about the worst brawlers in Brawl Stars for this month.

Pam:

First on the list is Pam, and there are tons of things that SuperCell has to get right for Pam to be a viable option for players. Firstly, her kit is pretty standard for a tank, but her gadgets are not great for doing anything besides just keeping you alive. Her attacks do not do that much damage, also Enemies can easily dodge your shots. While you can make things work with her in lower trophy ranges, she is not made for higher ranks until she gets a good buff.

Bonnie:

Bonnie is well known for her slow reload speeds and being at constant risk of getting damaged from melee attacks. That’s why she is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to brawl pool, but that was not the case when she was first released into the game. She was considered a great marksman with good long-range and decent HP. But due to continuous nerfs to her by SuperCell, she has become super weak, and nobody should pick her up in season 37.

Edgar:

Now, this might be a surprise pick for some players, but Edgar is one of the worst, if not the worst, brawlers in the game. While some low level players do think that he is elite with his vault and with gadgets but on the higher level of the game him and his kit is pretty much useless he has a short attack range which makes reliant on his jump to cover up the distance which exposes him to a bunch of other weaknesses. All in all, he is a bad pick in the upcoming season.

Charlie:

Next on the list is Charlie, and he is a combo of both low damage per shot with poor survivability. And both of them make Charlie a bad brawler to begin with. Her poor health does not allow her to get the map control, while her super can also come empty-handed because it is very easy to dodge it. For a competitive game play, she is a hard pass for all of the players, and if you’re trying to get better at the game, then you should avoid her at all costs.

Sam:

While Sam is not a bad brawler by any means but he is not in the meta, and other brawlers are significantly better to use than him. While on paper he might look like a good pick with his heavy hay makers and his super but both of them do not translate strength to his gameplay. His super is like a secondary main attack for him, and he has nothing major to offer apart from it. Which makes him a difficult pick in the upcoming season.

Mico:

Mico was released in the game on December 14, 2023, and in this short one and a half year tenure in the game, he managed to turn every fan of his into a hater. Because he is just not practical to play with. Because both his attack and super are underwhelming and provide little to no damage. Not only that, he is easy to counter, and for some players, he seriously needs a rework, and for those reasons, you should leave Mico alone until he gets a rework by SuperCell.

Moe:

The competitor for the last place on the list is Moe, and he has been in this for a long while now. And he is widely considered as one of the worst brawlers in the game due to his lack of a strong attack, which puts out a very minimal damage, and a slow super, which takes forever to reload. Moe’s kit is pretty worthless, especially in the competitive scene. Not only that, countering him is super easy, he has a super low pick rate, and overall, he is a pretty niche brawler to use. So, all in all, in this season, you take him off your pick list.

Doug:

Next on the list is Doug, and he is a tank, which is fun to play, but a good brawler that you would want on your team. Even after maxing him out, he is not that great to pick. He might look like a strong pick on low trophies, but he is not effective as you progress through the ranks. There are tons of other brawlers who have better kits than him and are overall just a better pick, and in May of 2025, I wouldn’t pick him on my team. And for most players, he fights for the first place on the list of the worst brawlers in the game ever.
