Overwatch 2 Season 13 Release Date & Time, New Hero Changes, and Leaked Patch Notes

Overwatch 2 Season 13: Season of Spellbinders is just a few hours away from releasing officially on all available platforms. The teaser trailer showcases the promising Halloween theme for the new Season offering a brand-new game mode called Junkenstein’s Laboratory, My Hero Academia collaboration skins, Mythic Widowmaker Skin, a new Battlepass, and more. A new Tank Hero was also teased in the teaser for Season 13.

Overwatch 2 Season 13: Season of Spellbinders – Release Date & Time

Overwatch 2 Season 13 is launching today (October 15, 2024), at 1 PM (EST) and 6 PM (BST) on all available platforms.

What is New in Overwatch 2 Season 13

As showcased in Overwatch 2 Season 13, there is a new Halloween Terror PVP mode called Junkenstein’s Laboratory. It is a fast-paced Team Deathmatch where players can enhance heroes’ abilities with Talent Cards. Moreover, the Halloween Terror event also includes two more modes called Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride. It is time to gather wins and earn exclusive rewards with these modes.

In Junkenstein’s Revenge, players will battle against zombie Omnics and bosses, and the Wrath of the Bride is the classic PVE mode filled with puzzles, haunted castles, and jump scares.

Alongside this new content, there are numerous new Skins coming to the store including a new Mythic for Widowmaker called Spellbinder Widowmaker. Moreover, there are new skins for heroes inspired by My Hero Academia including iconic characters, Tracer as Deku, Reinhardt as All Might, Juno as Uravity, Reaper as Tomura Shigaraki, and Kiriko as Himiko Toga. However, My Hero Academia collaboration skins are for a limited time and will be available from October 17 to October 30.

Furthermore, the following maps received reworks and changes in the new Season.

  • Ignite damage over time duration increased from 3 to 4 seconds.

  • No longer pierces barriers.
  • Now deals 2.5x more damage to barriers.

  • Health reduced from 1600 to 1500.

  • Base health increased from 225 to 250.

Sojourn

Railgun

  • Energy no longer stops degenerating at 25 energy.
  • Time before energy degeneration begins increased from 7 to 12 seconds.

Disruptor Shot

  • Damage per second increased from 60 to 80
  • Now generates 25% of damage done to enemy players as Railgun energy.

Sombra

Hack

  • No longer ends Stealth but does reveal Sombra.
  • Hacked ability lockout effect duration reduced from 1.5 to 1.0 seconds (EMP duration unchanged).
  • BOB hacked stun duration reduced from 10 to 3 seconds.

Stealth

  • No longer passive and now activates by using Translocator.
  • Now has a 5 second duration.
  • Added stealth timer around the reticle and removed ability icon.
  • Taking damage now reveals Sombra for 1 second instead of ending stealth.

Translocator

  • Cooldown increased from 5 to 7 seconds.

EMP

  • Ultimate cost increased 12%.

Opportunist

  • The Opportunist passive has been added back in.
  • Increases Sombra’s weapon damage versus hacked targets by 20%.
  • See critically injured enemies through walls.

Support

Biotic Launcher

  • Primary fire recoil reduced by 30%.

Brigitte

Repair Pack

  • Cooldown increased from 5 to 5.5 seconds.

Juno

Mediblaster

  • Falloff range reduced from 30-50 meters to 20-35 meters.
  • Healing per projectile reduced from 6.5 to 6.
