Overwatch 2 Season 13: Spellbinder is launching on October 15, 2024, right after Season 12: New Frontiers ends. The new Season has a magical theme and will offer new content including a Halloween Terror event, a new Halloween game mode, Mythic Skin for Widowmaker, new Mythic Shop Aspects, map updates, a new Battlepass, and more. It is time to increase your wins with new game modes. Surprisingly, in addition to the contents of Overwatch 2 Season 13: Spellbinder, Blizzard also teases the new Tank Hero coming to Overwatch 2 most probably in Season 14.
A New Tank Hero Teased at the End of Overwatch 2 Season 13 Trailer
The official Season 13 trailer of Overwatch 2 gives a great overview of all the content that players can expect from the upcoming season, but as the trailer is ending, brief footage plays teasing a sound of the next Tank Hero with various graffiti around the room.
If we take a closer look at the footage, we can see that it takes place at the Oasis University spawn area and the floating robot seems to be destroyed. There are several crystal shards around the area. And we can predict that it might be something relevant to the new Tank Hero’s ability. As the footage shows more of the hall, we can see various graffiti. The first one is ‘Fight Back’ and the main one is ‘PHREAKS’.
As the ‘PHREAKS’ graffiti is shown, a voice can be heard in the background saying, ‘It’s looking like a revolution’. And if you turn on YouTube captions, they specify the voice as “Scottish man.” Now, if you remember last year’s BlizzCon, Blizzard confirmed that the next Hero would be a Tank. Summarizing all of this information confirms that the new Hero will be a Scottish Tank Hero whose name is not yet confirmed.
According to fans on the internet, the new Hero’s name might be ‘Spiker’. But it can also be an internal codename rather than an official name. Moreover, within a day of the new Hero tease, fans already have found the ‘Phreak’ Hero which was originally designed for the MMO Titan. The found image of the Mohawked Hero matches the easter eggs that Blizzard left at last year’s BlizzCon.
There is a strong chance that it might be the new Scottish Hero. But nothing is certain until Blizzard officially reveals the next Hero. Speaking of revealing, the new Tank Hero will not be playable until Season 14. However, there is a chance that the Devs might reveal it before Season 14. And give a chance to players to test out the new Hero in Season 13 like Juno and Venture.
