Dragonflight Cooking Profession FAQ

How do I cook WoW?

First, just like with all other WoW professions, you have to find a Cooking Trainer to learn the profession. They’ll also sell you some starting recipes and equipment. Once that is done, you’ll need somewhere to cook. Cities and towns have some pots and cauldrons scattered around, but while in the wild, a simple bonfire will be your best friend!

Once you’ve got the fire sorted out, you’re basically ready to cook! Cooking is a spell inside your spellbook, so just open it and drag it into your UI as you’d do with any other spell. Click on it near the bonfire and you’re all set to start making some delicious dishes!

Ah, right. There is one more thing to keep in mind and that’s the ingredients. You can find some in the wild or purchase from vendors, while others may require assistance from other professions. Fish is especially prominent in Dragonflight cooking, so it might be wise to level them both simultaneously.

Is there a cooking skill in WoW?

Cooking isn’t just a skill, but a whole profession in WoW! It’s also very important, especially for the endgame content. You’d be hard-pressed to find any team that wouldn’t have a good meal before venturing into the next raid or dungeon. And that’s not just an act of roleplaying as food provides some really good, sometimes even essential bonuses, to the player characters!

Fortunately, it’s a secondary profession, which means that any player can learn it without having to sacrifice the other profession options. And while most gathering and crafting professions received major rework in Dragonflight, secondary ones remained pure. There’re no specializations or talent trees for you to worry about. All you need is to get the recipe, find the required ingredients and you’re all set!

Is cooking worth leveling WoW?

That depends on what you consider worthwhile. Cooking is a secondary profession, available for every player and lacking any specializations. You won’t be able to permanently buff your character with it and if you’re just looking to make gold, it might be better to focus on one of the primary professions. Sadly, there isn’t much fun to have with Cooking this time around either, as most of the currently existing dishes offer simple stat bonuses.

However, it’s still a useful profession to have. A high-level chef is a welcome addition to any raid or mythic dungeon team. Even if you’re playing solo, you might find the buffs provided by food to be very useful.

It’s also worth mentioning the new quality system. Feasts have always been the primary source of income for cooks, but if you’ll manage to get your hands on high-quality cooking gear and ingredients, you just might make a fortune on auction house!

But if you just don’t want to level Cooking yourself, you can always make use of Immortalboost’s boosting service wow. We’ll quickly get all the skill points needed to advance the profession to the max level. Once we’re done, all you’ll have to do is enjoy the benefits given by one of the best secondary professions in WoW!
