Cyber Abilities
Spycam (Default Key bind E)
The Spycam is the free ability that Cypher can use to gather information about an area. Players can place and retract the camera in an area where the push is expected from the enemy team or when playing post-plant, it can even be used to watch flank when on the attack side. Make sure you place it high on the walls where you can use it to get a view of a large area and make it difficult for the enemies to see. When not in use it can be camouflaged and difficult to spot. If you placed the camera in an area and you retracted it you will get a cooldown of 15 seconds before you can place it again.
However, if the camera is spotted and is destroyed by the enemy then the cooldown is considerably longer, 45 seconds. When on attack and watching flank through the spy can make sure you stay in cover and don’t enter before your team as your team is counting on you to watch their backs. There is also another strategy of using the spycam on defense when you are defending one site together and expecting a rotation from the enemy team is to place the spycam in a hidden position on an empty site, for example, you are on A site on Ascent with your team and expecting a rotation to B site, you can place the camera on B site so you can gather the info on enemies and communicate to your team to improve your chances of a successful retake.

Cyber Cage (Default Key Bind Q)
A Cyber Cage can be equipped twice or you can say that Cypher has got two charges for Cyber Cages. At first, it would seem like the Cyber Cage is a vision blocker or smoke used at choke points on defense and to block enemy vision, but it’s more than that.
The Cyber Cage when activated will encase an area in a white smoke screen but unlike other smokes, when an enemy walks inside it an audio cue is heard that can be heard when you are standing nearby it and you can use this audio cue as a piece of information that the enemy is in the area and since their vision is blocked you can decide to shoot or you can utilize trigger discipline and use this information to your advantage.
The Cyber Cage is a deadly ability when utilized properly, and it can even become more deadly when used as a one-way smoke. You can practice one-way smokes on different maps and become a headache for your enemies leading to them making mistakes and you capitalizing on them. However, don’t hide in your Cyber Cage when its placed in an elevated area as there is a chance that your enemy can see you through it
Trapwire (Default Key Bind C)
The Trapwire is another ability of the Cypher utility set. It can be equipped twice in one round or two charges per round. When used properly it can concuss enemies, stop them in their tracks and also expose them.
A well planted Trapwire will slow down pushes and help your team get the jump on the enemy team as they will be stuck in the Trapwire. However, the Trapwire can be destroyed by shooting at the switch on either side. This can also be used as information that the enemy has entered a specific area. It’s a useful ability on the attack as well when expecting a flank and scouting for a flank can result in HP loss or death.
A good practice would be to place Trapwire in the expected plant location as that can delay the plant and give you an advantage since placing the Trapwire at choke points has become quite the predictable maneuver. Also, plant the Trapwire at stomach level as the enemy will be forced to break them instead of at foot level where the enemies can jump over it.
Combining the Trapwire and Cyber Cage can prove quite difficult to deal with and it gives you an immense advantage where the enemy is concussed and has no idea where you are providing you the opportunity of free kills as well as information that you can use to your advantage.
Neural Theft (Default Key bind X)
The Neural Theft is Cypher’s Ult that pings the enemy location on the map when used on a dead body of an enemy. It perfectly suits Cypher’s utility as an information gatherer. If timed correctly you can use Ult and have an idea where the enemy is on the map and then devise a counter strategy to win the round for your team. Make sure you time it correctly as it can lead to you getting exposed when going near a corpse of an enemy agent.
A good practice is to use the ult when your teammates are alive and can reposition according to the enemy team’s position and get the jump on the enemy.
