Dota 2 Mirana Ultimate guide To Win Every Match

Hello everyone! Today, I will introduce you to my signature hero, Mirana. I have played her in different roles in 3000 games, and she has the highest win ratio among other heroes.

Since I’m working with Dota 2 Boost squad here at Immortal Boost, I need to know how to play every hero so that if the clients ask to play a specific hero, I should be ready.

Dota 2 mirana

This guide will help you win and be impactful in most of your rank games, Let’s dive in.

Introduction

Mirana is a versatile hero who can be played in any role due to her amazing abilities, but mostly, she can scale as a position 3&4. I think there are two areas of Mirana where she excels relative to pretty much any other support hero. The first is follow-up burst damage, so when there’s a reliable way to connect with Arrow right, somebody else initiates in stuns, and you follow up with Arrow, leave it in Star Storm. Her combo with a Max Arrow, you know, level 4 does about 850 magic damage. After resistance.

The second thing that she excels at over any other similar ranged support hero is her innate escape ability of Leap, which allows you to itemize for team aura or defensive items, even just get any item you want.

Tip: Use an Arrow to kill hero-controlled creeps. Especially useful against Chen, Enchantress, and Beastmaster.

Item Build & Skill Build

According to the current patch 7.35d, this is the skill build you should make.

Skill Build

  • Take the Star Storm on level 3.
  • Calls down a wave of meteors to damage nearby enemy units. The closest enemy unit to Mirana in a 650 radius will be struck a second time for 75% of the damage.
  • Further, upgrade the skill according to the following sequence (4,5,7)

Tip: Be mindful that Starstorm’s mana cost increases with each level, which can hinder Mirana’s ability to cast it repeatedly. It is recommended that you secure a reliable source of mana replenishment if you intend to use it to farm over long periods of time.

  • Sacred Arrow should be taken on level 1.
  • Fires a long-range arrow with deadly precision, which stuns and damages the first enemy unit it strikes. The stun duration ranges from 0.01 to 5 seconds depending upon the distance, with bonus damage up to 150 added, based on the distance the arrow travels to its target. Instantly kills the first non-ancient creep it hits.
  • Sacred Arrow can be made much easier to land when combined with a leading disable by an ally. Abilities like Bane’s Nightmare and Shadow Demon’s Disruption can pin an enemy in place long enough for a long-ranged Sacred Arrow to find its mark and disable the target for a further five seconds.
  • Further, you can upgrade the ability according to the following sequence (8,9,10)
  • Leap should be taken later on Level 2.
  • Mirana leaps forward into battle, empowering herself with a ferocious roar that grants her a 4-second-long speed bonus in attack and movement.
  • Because of its ability to re-position Mirana instantly, Leap has a very strong ability to use for initiations and escape. At least one early value point should be taken no matter what role Mirana plays in
  • You can upgrade this ability according to the following sequence (13,14,16)
  • Moonlight Shadow turns Mirana and all allied heroes invisible and grants bonus movement speed. If a hero is revealed, invisibility will be restored after the fade delay as long as Moonlight Shadow’s duration has not expired.
  • Moonlight Shadow is an extremely strong ganking spell, as it acts just like Smoke of Deceit icon Smoke of Deceit to give Mirana’s team a strong initiating advantage.
  • Always level up to this ability whenever it is up on level 6, level 12, level 18

Note: Be sure not to be too careless when casting Moonlight Shadow, as it is still possible for enemies to use detection and spot Mirana and her allies

Note: Buying Aghanim’s Scepter on Mirana Causes Sacred Arrow to release a Starstorm on enemies along the travel path of the primary arrow, releasing a second Starstorm that deals less damage to the impacted unit.

Tip: Get Aghanim’s Shard on Mirana, which can provide a buff upon landing. Launch a projectile along Sagan’s leap path, dealing damage and slowing units affected and guaranteeing they will be hit with a secondary Starstorm if that spell is cast. Leap does not break Moonlight Shadow’s invisibility. It can be put on alt-cast to choose the distance and facing direction of the jump and grants 1 bonus charge to the Leap.

Talent Tree Choices

  • Level 10 Select -2s Sacred Arrow cooldown.
  • Level 15 Select  Moonlight Shadow gives +20% Evasion.
  • Level 20 Select -20s Moonlight Shadow Cooldown.
  • Level 25 Select +2 Multishot Sacred Arrows.

Early gameplay / Mid game / Late game

Early gameplay (0:00 – 12:00)

In the early phase of the game, you should try contesting first blood on the bounty runes with your team as your Sacred Arrow is a powerful tool. While in the planning phase, if you support, then you keep on harassing the enemy’s core and support so that your core has a good time in the lane in getting the farm. If you are playing Offlane, you should focus on the farm and try to grab an opportunity to kill with your support.

Mid gameplay (12:00 – 25:00)

In this stage of the game, Mirana has enough levels and basic items to participate in team fights. Use Moonlight Shadow to gank, hunt down enemies, and build utility items for the team as guided in the item build section above. The more you gank, the more detection will be purchased by the enemies. In that case, make sure to get a Gem of Trusight, which allows you to take the map control and turn the game in your favor.

Late gameplay  (25:00 – 60:00)

At this stage of the game, enemy cores have most of the items which can be dangerous to make the situation good, you can keep on using Sacred Arrow in a way that Enemey gets hit and puts him in a 5-second stun from a max range which will allow your team even to kill a 6 slotted enemy core. Keep an eye on your team to save them by your Moonlight Shadow from getting initiated by the team as this ability has not so high cooldown, it can be used again and again just like Smoke of Deceit to turn the situation in your favor.

Counters of Mirana

 Riki

  • Riki with a Diffusal Blade can counter Mirana by using a Smoke Screen that won’t allow her to escape

  • Puck can easily dodge Sacred Arrow and Starstorm with the Phase Shift
  • A Mirana caught in Dream Coil will stun herself if she tries to Leap away.

  • Windrun quickly dodges Mirana’s Sacred Arrow and misses her attacks

Night Stalker

  • The long silence of Crippling Fear icon Crippling Fear at night prevents Mirana from escaping with Moonlight Shadow and Leap.

Wrapping it up

Mirana is a hero from which you will understand the movements and the positioning as Mirana requires a lot of practice to throw down Arrow on point. This hero forces enemies to buy detection, which frustrates them. You will also learn the art of ganking down enemies and keep on failing down the cores only with the help of this guide.
