Apex Legends Broken Moon Map – Poi, Loot, Rat Locaitons & Agents 2024

Hello everyone! It’s me, your boy Alex, here, and today I will be talking about the Apex Legends map called “Broken Moon”. Before we start off, as you all know, I am currently working with Apex Legends boosting services squad at Immortal Boost, so I always stay updated about each and every map so that my clients always have something new to learn! So let’s get started.

Broken Moon was added to Apex Legends in Season 15. This map is completely unique from any other map in the game. This guide will help you dominate this map, from various drop spots to fit your playing style to rotations and overall playing style. This Master Broken Moon Map guide will help you win more games on Broken Moon and rank up quickly in Apex Legends.

Broken Moon Map Overview

Broken Map is smaller than Storm Point just a touch bigger than World’s Edge. This means that the action on the map is faster-paced than Storm Point. Buildings are a lot more in the style of World’s Edge than Storm Point and due to this, you can hold positions a lot easier. Storm Point buildings were impossible to hold with lots of Ledges and balconies meaning that you were almost always angled out.

One of the biggest differences between this map to almost all the others is that these POIs have been designed to be split and support multiple teams. Some of the larger ones like Terraformer have enough loot to support up to four teams. There are 16 named Pois on this map. This means that your old strategies of contesting teams on other maps probably need to be reconsidered.

Some of the POIs are bigger, you can land significantly further away from the other team, or teams. This gives you time to loot up gather weapons and heal then you can take a fight to your opponents, instead of landing on a loop in 50-15. Once you’re done fighting and have defeated the enemies then there should be other sections of the POI left to loot.

Apex Legends Broken Moon release date

The Broken Moon was introduced to Apex Legends at the start of Season 15 which starts on November 1, 2022.

Broken Moon POIs

Broken Map consists of 16 points of interest. In the initial stages of matches, some POIs are larger than others which could attract plenty of attention from many players in the match. Below is the list of POIs of Broken Map.

  • Breaker Wharf
  • Alpha Base
  • Backup ATMO
  • The Core
  • Dry Gluch
  • Stasis Array
  • Eternal Gardens
  • N. Promenade
  • Kinetic Battery
  • Production Yard
  • The Divide
  • Terraformer
  • Bionomics
  • Cultivation
  • Atmostation
  • The Foundry

Some POIs are bigger than others in Broken Moon. However, all of them are balanced to suit all styles of play.

Broken Moon Best Drop-offs

Now, I will be going into some more details regarding some specific dropoffs on Broken Moon.

Terraformer

Terraformer is the central position means it attracts a lot of squads at the start of the match. The central tower is surrounded by multiple buildings and it plays out sort of a king of the hill style location that encourages squads to head to the tower when they’re ready to fight. If you want to dominate here then control that high ground and that hill as soon as possible.

Breaker Wharf

Not every player wants to head to a drop location that’s super-hot at the start of a match and Break Wharf is a solid option who want a slower pace game. Breaker Wharf is the location that’s in the far north corner of the map. This POI contains two parallel structures that are packed with verticality and loot. This is perfect for medium-range gun fights for the other squad.

Eternal Gardens

This is one of the most beautiful POIs on the map. Eternal Gardens is a vast open space that forces players to take longer-range gunfights. So, if you are a long-range fighter then try landing here early game as you’re going to have lots of open space maneuver and to try to pick shots with some marksman rifles or snipers. Eternal Gardens also has the only jump tower on Broken Moon, so if a fight starts to take a turn for worse, then don’t be afraid to escape with the rest of your squad with that jump tower.

The Core

Just like Terraformer, there is another POI for aggressive players who aren’t afraid of taking on multiple squads and that’s the Perpetual Core. If you’re looking for a 20 Bomb badge and the ship is dropping close to Perpetual core then head straight in for some chaos. There’s also a high chance for high-tier loot and upgraded armor located in the very center of the core.

Broken Moon Zip Rails

Zip rails are the new and unique movement mechanic for the broken moon map. Like rabbit cans and tridents, each map has some sort of unique way to get around. So, how do they work? Like any old Apec zipline in principle, you could do the same thing on them that you can’t do on any other zipline in Apex.

You can shoot but with an aim penalty. You can’t heal but you can get off or on at any time and you can change direction amid travel. The biggest difference for these zip rails is the increased speed and momentum that they give you and they also make a very satisfying noise.

You do go faster on these than a normal zip line but you can be killed by a good player or any charge rifle. These zip rails can help you move around the map, make challenging rotations, or get a quick escape. Use them cautiously and connect to zip rails at any point. But they are often out of reach without a Valkyrie or Horizon play style.

For more Legends, you can only get on at a certain point along the rails. There are certain points where the rails end or are popular for entering the exit, so be aware of teams camping in these spaces or gatekeeping them.

The last thing that you want is to dive straight into the enemy team. You can exit the zip rail at any point, so if you are suspicious about a certain spot exit a bit earlier to be extra careful. The best use of these ziplines is to speed up your rotation. Especially, if the zone is closing and you need to catch up.

This bolt makes Legends like Valkyrie less crucial but it also means that you can save the Valko for getting out of a tight spot or making some sort of tricky reposition.

Apex Legends Best Landing Spots

I’m going to discuss the five best spots to land on Broken Map in Apex Legends.

Terraformer

The first place I would recommend you is to land on Terraformer. This spot is one of the two hot drops of this map the other being core. Terraformer is a good spot to land if you want good loot and fights. I Would never recommend landing Middle because the middle is usually where everyone goes and there are very limited guns and usually guns that are not always the best.

The benefit is coming to this POI is first of all wide variety of loot you get but also the second benefit is that you can get a lot of people and have good fights without having to hunt people down on this map. The good thing about this POI too is that the crafter does have the opportunity to spawn here because it has a higher-odds at this POI.

Eternal Gardens

Eternal Gardens has a central tower with the only Jump Tower on the moon. Eternal Gardens allows you to do so without needing to rely on a Valkyrie if you wish to loot up and relocate to a faraway point of interest

Atmostation

There is a Research building in the Atmostation to the left and right which offers landing spots for players to loot and assault the main tower structure. Take the Zip Rails to the top or Pass through the narrow bridge or you can move to the nearby water silos which can be a better choice if you want to escape without being encountered by multiple squads.

Breaker Wharf

For mid-range combat, this POI is a symmetrical space built and is joined by a Zip Rail and a bridge. There are multiple layers of verticality in the parallel structures at Breaker Wharf. From here you can reposition to another POI easily.

Rotation on Broken Moon

I’ll discuss some tips on how to better rotate on the Broken Moon in Apex Legends. I’m going to focus my tips for rotation on how can you find the people on this map to fight more, to win more, and to improve more.

Let’s start with my personal favorite POI which is The Core. Most of the time you’re going to have a lot of people Landing here especially if the drop ship is heading right over. It’s not the center of the map so it’s not always going to have a lot of people but for a POI on the outskirts of the map 95% of the time you’re going to have at least a few squads there.

But unfortunately, there are no zip lines from the core connecting it to another POI, so, it means that you’re on a good old foot patrol after this. Once you kill everybody at the core, to find the most people you want to make your way to the stasis array. If people are landing at the core, then you maybe you’ll have a couple of teams landing at the stasis array.

Key Points for The Rotations on Broken Moon

  • You can find ziplines everywhere on the map, use them to your advantage.
  • as there are cliffs everywhere, it makes Broken Moon a confined map.
  • Having a recon on the squad goes a long way and will make an impact on the match.

Rotations in the South of Broken Moon

The first route takes you from Bionomics to Atmostation, and from there you will move to the Cultivation after which you’ll go to The Foundry, you should end up at South Promenade in the end.

If you want an alternate route then start at the foundry and then move to the Atmostation, from there go to the Bionomics and end at the Divide. After reaching the Divide you can move to anywhere depending upon the ring. Having Valkyrie in the team will allow you to fly out of a sticky situation quickly.

Rotations in the East of Broken Moon

You have the following two options in the Eastern part. Once you select the first option, it will take you from Bionomics to the Divide, and then move to the Stasis array before moving into the Promenades or Terraformer. The opposite way is different and it will take you from Backup Atmo to the Eternal Gardens. From there move to The Divide before entering the Stasis Array, and you can either go to the Promenades again or Terraformer.

Having a Vantage will most likely help with spotting enemies at a distance. You can dictate when to initiate fights and when to back off more easily if you have the recon advantage over your enemies.

Rotations in the North of Broken Moon

Here you also have two options as well. Choosing the first option will take you from Backup Atmo to Alpha Base and directly onto The Core. Then you should move to Breaker Warf before moving on to Dry Gulch and finally entering the South Promenade.

The second option will take you from Breaker Warf and take you through The Core to Alpha Base, then head toward the Atmo and proceed to the Eternal Gardens. Finally, you will be able to move into Terraformer.

Rotations in the West of Broken Moon

On the west side of the Broken Moon map, you will have two routes that will be vice versa. The first option takes you to Breaker Wharf to Dry Gulch and onto the Production Yard. From this Yard, you can move to The Foundry and finish the run at South Promenade.

The other option is the reverse as you start from the foundry and it takes you to the Production Yard. Head towards the Dry Gulch and to Breaker Wharf. To finish your run at South Promenade head towards The Core. It contains a lot of huge structures with many rooms which makes clearing them a time-consuming activity and this makes this route different from others.

Apex Legends best Legends to Dominate

I’ll discuss some best Legends to play on Broken Moon in Apex Legends.

Horizon

If you are asking the question of why you should pick Horizon while playing Broken Moon in Apex Legends. The answer is simple, it is due to her passive and tactical abilities. These two abilities work off one another and they can make for some very exciting gameplay that will let you excel in aggressively taking enemies. Additionally, it’s going to be these movement abilities that will excel her in fighting multiple enemies at once as they give her a lot of increased survivability

Fuse

Apex Legends agent Fuse

The fact is Fuse’s kit is built to be aggressive, bursting down the doors, and softening up the enemy with explosions yet he is very vulnerable if he’s caught in close-range gunfights. His animations on his abilities are rather long and they excel at initiating a fight at range. So, getting a feel for animation times and learning when you can afford to use them is going to help you out a ton in the long run in Broken Moon.

Ash

Ash is a simple character but possesses a lot of potential in terms of overall impact. She provides a very unique value that makes her a character with a high skill ceiling, and while she may take a second to get down, the payoff is worth it. Plus, she has some of the best cosmetics in the game which doesn’t hurt. Passive ability is extremely powerful in the right hands, especially once you’ve put in the time to use her kit effectively, and all these facts make Ash the perfect choice when playing Broken Moon.

Mirage

Apex Legends Agent Mirage

Mirage is pretty demanding in Broken Moon, if you’re good with using guns or any other mechanics of the game than just using character abilities then you’re not be going to good at Mirage. When playing Mirage, the most ideal guns to use are going to be the Assault Rifle or any non-single-fire gun with range, Plus an SMG or shotgun secondary.

TIPS to Follow on Broken Moon

Now, we are going to discuss five tips for Broken Moon that will surely affect your match in Apex Legends. You can pull out every single one of your games be it pubs or ranked and will dominate the map.

Super Jump Off the Power Rails

The first tip to follow is to jump off of the power rails. The Power rails that go around the map act almost identical to zip lines, so you can use the interact jump to super jump off of them. This is a movement technique that I don’t see a lot of people using when it comes to every game.

A lot of power rails do connect to a building in some way, shape, or form and you can use this to super jump onto the second floor getting new angles almost instantly and allowing you to take control of the flow of fights very quickly and very efficiently.

If you are not doing this, then you need to be adding to your arsenal because it will allow you to get more kills on people who were not expecting you to be jumping up onto the second floor of the building just instantly.

Every Roof is Playable

In Broken Moon, almost every single roof is playable as they are not like the other maps, where if there’s a hard slope on a roof it’ll be slidy and kind of push you off. Don’t be afraid to take some head glitches. You can find some best angles on the roof. Some people may be a little bit weary of roofs because on other maps, the roofs are weird and slidy and they mess up with your aim.

Roofs on this map are playable, and you need to check them out. One of the roofs that I recommend checking out is the one in Bionomics. In the little donut circle buildings, the roof looks hard and steep but you can actually sit on it, play it, and head glitch. It allows you to easily win a contest if another team drops there with you.

Look for the Hidden Loot

There’s actually a surprising amount of loot hidden around the map. Some of it you have to look a little bit harder for but some of it is actually in plain view. There’s a kind of invisible ring around the center of the map that has high-tier loot that you can just get from bins.

The hidden stuff is kind of in those Garden things in certain buildings. You can hop up on top of them and there’s loot on those, so if you are struggling on something then just try checking them. You may find a gun that you’re looking for or maybe even just ammo that you are lacking. Keep your eyes open when you are running around the map as there are some tricky spots where the loot is hidden.

Be Aware of the Vertical Play

Broken Moon has an incredible amount of vertical play. Be constantly aware of all the different angles that you can take in fights. A lot of squads always try to play on even ground when they are taking a fight and people always underestimate how strong the high ground can be.

When you are in a fight then you need to abuse the high ground as much as you can because high ground allows you to take different angles. If you even get into a fight then always be trying to look around next to you if there’s a rock, any building, or just something that you can play as it will give you a little cover. This will start to help you out and Broken Moon has a ton of little hidden areas all around the map.
