World of Warcraft – Dragonriding updates coming in Patch 10.2.5

Patch 10.2.5 of Dragonflight has been announced to be released on January 16th in the NA region and January 17th in the EU. This mini patch in Dragonfly has a ton of features and updates to the game but the biggest updates are the updates to Dragon riding and flying as they are huge and are going to modify the way you play the game going forward. Dragon riding is going to be available in the rest of the zones of Azeroth not contained just within the dragon isos.

Before we continue with the new update I have exciting news for you that Immortalboost is now providing WoW Boosting for all the new players and current players. Multiple services including, PvP, PvE, Raids and much more!

There has been nothing nearly as fun as just being able to soar all around the world zones without trying to dive under bridges and between Rock crevices or along a waterfall or just having the ability to climb up to the tip of the mountain within seconds. Dragon riding has just got to be one of the best features the developers have added to any expansion. Some of the key features of expansions like the artifact weapons of Legion or the azurite power necklace of BFA, the player can not abandon these features instead all these things are evergreen and stick around for a while. You can take the dragon and ride around all of the previously explored areas in a brand-new way.

World of Warcraft released a clip displaying on the X which shows the new flying feature in the old world, set to arrive with Patch 10.2.5 on January 16. The preview features different characters and their mounts soaring over well-known areas such as the Barrens and the Plaguelands, touring cities like Stormwind and Orgrimmar, and even gliding past the game’s famous Sword of Sargeras. The footage demonstrates the speed and agility of Dragonriding compared to traditional flying, offering a fresh viewpoint of these classic zones as players zip through the skies.

Dragon riding outside of the Isles is going to be 85% as effective as normal speeds for Dragon running in the Isle which has been somewhat of a point of contention within the community. 85% is still a lot more speed than current static flying. The reasoning behind this change is they trying to balance out the exciting nature and the engaging model of the Dragon riding system versus presser in the sense of immersion when it comes to creating a massive open world.

To travel into the old world with a dragonriding the player must of level 60. The War Within update is changing World of Warcraft so that new players will start leveling up in the Dragonflight expansion. Because the Dragon Isles, where this takes place, are very big and players get to use Dragonriding early in the story, many think that they might be able to start Dragonriding when they reach level 30 or maybe even level 10.

We won’t know this for sure until The War Within is about to start, but one thing is clear: traveling around the game’s world, Azeroth, is going to be very different from now on. Dragon riding doesn’t have a level requirement to unlock, if you manage to get to the dragon isles before 60 it is automatically unlocked so If you get summoned by a warlock or something you can get dragon riding early. One hope is that they keep “regular flight” in the game, and have it switchable for all mounts that can do Dragon Riding. There are times when going slower, but being exact on where you’re going and what you’re looking for, is better than swooping about fast.

There’s even more exciting news for World of Warcraft players: big improvements to Dragonriding are coming very soon. In The War Within update, Dragonriding is changing to something called Dynamic Flying, and it will be available for most flying mounts in the game. The special skills and features of Dragonriding will be included in this new Dynamic Flying, and players won’t have to collect and use glyphs anymore. Everyone can start enjoying Dynamic Flying with the pre-patch for The War Within, which is planned to be released in early summer. The players should be ready to enjoy the dragonriding in World of Warcraft.

The next kind of Dargon riding flying adjacent update coming in 10.2.5 are updates of to Dracthyr so from 10.2.5 the sore ability for the Dracthyr will work the same as Dragon riding. This is what players have wanted for a very long time and this is coming in the latest patch. With the launch of the patch, when you press S on a drag, then you will fly into the air and be able to use all of your dragon-riding abilities just like you can on a regular Mount.

The dragon-riding talents do affect. You will have the same abilities, this is unlocked at the end of the starting zone, so the regular starting zone for the dragon will have the original store. Once you finish that, you will unlock the kind of dragonriding. The old version of Soar will no longer be available, the default version will be the one with dragonriding. Just like dragon riding, Dracthyr is available everywhere.
