15 most rare items in rocket league

Some games provide a battle pass or skin collection in which you just have to pay a sum to get the skin you want. But in other games, they give players open packs and cases, and in these packs or cases, there is a slim chance that players get the skin they want. While it may seem a little greedy it creates an ecosystem of cosmetic trading for the game.

Rocket League also follows the same pattern with rare items that are hard to unbox and hold significant value. Sometimes the rare item costs thousands of dollars. That is why in this blog I will talk about the 15 most rare items in Rocket League. I will also tell you if they are tradeable or not and if they are how much sell for.

RL Rare items

Alpha Boost or Gold Boost

Alpha Boost Rare reward

The first on the list is a rare item but you could buy it via trading with another player who is willing to sell. So to describe the item the alpha boost is pretty similar to the yellow flame thrower but the difference between both of these boosts is that while the yellow flame thrower does perform like a doppelganger it does not have the spark like the alpha boost.

The reason for Alpha Boost being rare is that it was released when Rocket League was in alpha and wasn’t released as a full-fledged game. So that is why the supply is scarce for this item making it rare to get a glimpse of.

Grey mainframe:

Grey mainframe: RL Item

The next item on the list is a little more available but with a cost. The grey mainframe is a discontinued item and only players who have are the ones lucky enough to unbox it before they take it out of the game for looking too similar to the white mainframe. While it’s not impossible to buy as of now the selling price of it is upwards of 50,000 credits. In real-life money, you would need to spend 600 to 700 dollars worth of credit to get the item considering you have a player who is willing to trade it with you.

One-of-a-kind titles:

Most of the items in this list can be purchased but these 3 titles are one of a kind and the chance of you spotting even one of them is around 0.0004%. These are those three titles:

The first rocketeer: Stoney was the first one who completed the 1st regular season of Rocket League.

THE PIGEON MAN: Johnz12321 is the only one with this title because he was the first one to collect the 1,000 pigeon tops in the game.

4 Time World Champion: Turbopolsa is the only player who has won the Rocket League World 4 times. Making him the GOAT contender of the game.

Titanium white EQ trail :

There are other rare trails in Rocket League like the Titanium Laserwave III or Incantor but The TW EQ is the rarest and most expensive out of the bunch. This Trail was added to the game back in March 2018 almost 6 years ago. the price also depends on the platform you use but Titanium White EQ still comes out on top in terms of price to looks. Currently, the TW EQ is trading for a little over 1,000 credits making it the most expensive trail in the game.

Black Reaper:

Two items are affianced with black reaper and both of them are extremely rare. So let’s talk about them one by one. The black reaper wheels are classified as very rare because the only way to obtain them is via trading. While there are ways to obtain them like in drops or blueprints it always depends on your luck.

The second item of the same name is the “Black Reaper Goal Explosion”. It is more scarce in the supply than the wheels because unlike the wheel this goal explosion is hard to find and much harder to trade.

Titanium White Octane:

The next on the list is the Titanium white octane body. As most of us know octane is the most popular body in the game with a pro pick rate of 80%. That is the reason why titanium white remains one of the most expensive to buy. You could get it for cheaper if you get lucky and get this on drop while trading. This body was added to the game on 2022’s December. It was available in the shop for only 800 credits roughly 8 dollars at that time. As the drop rate was around 8% for this body the prices quickly went up and now after two years, the Titanium white octane is selling for over 5000 credits.

Gold Cap:

Another OG cosmetic of Rocket League and just like the alpha boost This cosmetic was introduced when the game was in its alpha. The gold cap has become one of the most rare tops in the game. The game’s alpha ended in August 2014 marking the gold cap’s age to a decade old. While the goldcap itself it’s not that expensive because it does not look that good. It sells for around 11 to 12 hundred credits as of now. Apart from its rarity, it doesn’t sell for much

Grey Apex Wheels:

The grey apex wheels are another type of wheel that is scarce in supply. Now unlike most of the other wheels in the game, These wheels were never in the store they are one of the only worthy Twitch drops. You can still get them by watching the Rocket League World Cup and some Phoenix-sponsored tournaments. They are essentially free for the player who is lucky enough to get them in a drop but they are currently trading for over 2700 credits. A free thing is worth that much just because of its rarity.

Titanium White Dominus:

Early on we talked about the titanium white octane which in itself is a very appreciated and rare item. Their twin brother of his the Tiatianium white dominus is even rarer. The chance of getting one in a drop is one in 1200. If you want to get 1 then you would have to spend 60k to 70k credits on buying one.

While the dominus is not the most popular one this item is extremely rare to find and that is what makes it a great addition to the list.

Gold Nugget Antenna:

There’s only so much that you put up on your car with it becomes a distracting mess. The gold nugget Antenna is one of them. Most of the pros don’t even bother to use antennae for the reasons I stated above. The Gold Nugget antenna is one of those antennas but a way more rare and expensive one. It is another beta reward and was given to the player who participated in the game’s beta making it the most rare antenna in the entire game. It is currently selling over for 18000 credits. But spotting one is even more rare.

Monstercat wheels:

You could play Rocket League with any music that you want to listen to in the background or you could listen to the in-game songs like Where U R by Throttle or Walking on the Moon but there’s something about Rocket League X Monster Cat that is something inspiring.

While the artist produced some very hard-hitting music the collection hit the market with rewards for the player who had pre-ordered it without even having a listen to the music. That is why Psynoix added the monster cat rewards in which we found the monster cat wheel which is extremely rare because only a handful of players pre-ordered the collection and only those are the ones who currently possess these wheels.

Black Dieci Wheels:

This wheel is rather common and they are pretty in fact default ones for some players. But the rarity of them comes from their paints. The black dieci wheel looks pretty similar to the default ones but the difference is that they are pretty rare to find and the only way to obtain them is via trading it will cost you around 25000 credits.

Decennium Pro Wheels:

The first special event reward on the list is here. The Decennium Pro wheels are the first wheel that was given by Psynoix to the player who attended the first Rocket League World Cup LAN party in season three. While the attendees of that LAN party were in the thousands the Decennium Pro wheels still remain one of the rare wheels in the game.

The reason for that is the decenniums were a one-time thing and that makes the supply of them very inadequate.

Goldstone Wheels:

The last alpha reward on the list is the wheels and just about time I noticed that all of the items that Psynoix giveaways to the first players of the game are all based on a gold theme. Now as every other alpha item on the list, the goldstone wheels were also given to the player who participated in the game’s alpha and beta testing. That is why their supply is narrow and spotting one is so difficult. While they are not impossible to buy like the other items on the list they are definitely on the costlier side of the spectrum. One pair of goldstone wheels pair will set you back for around 150,000 credits or 1500 dollars.

White cap:

Rocket League is one of the few games that acknowledge the players who break the game and find glitches and bugs for them. Psynoix awarded the players who found a game-breaking bug and were using it to their advantage. But unlike another game developer who would’ve banned these players, psynoix decided to give them white caps which is a synonym for ethical hacking.

The white cap is surely the most rare item that exists in the game. Most of us have never even seen a player who has it. If you spot one consider yourself extremely lucky. The difference with every other item and white cap is that you can’t trade or buy it the only way to obtain is to find a bug big enough to give you an advantage and let the developers know about it.
