Season of the Wish has introduced a new activity called The Coil. The activity includes many twists, plots, and turns through the continuous area of pathways and encounters with increasing difficulty and more reward opportunities. The coil is 4 level version of Riven’s Lair as we got More Challenges, Deep-sight weapons, and much more loot.
Saving the Riven from the enemies and threats, including engaging in Riven’s Lair. You can match-make this activity or have a private option to go solo or with teammates. If you jump into a match-made version it’s going to scale with how many players you went with. The further you go, the more the difficulties will be, as with more difficulties. And higher will be the power of enemies so the gameplay will become more extreme as you progress further.
You will be going from one pathway to another through the puzzles then you are going to defeat the boss, as a result, you will have many rewards that will help you to buy items to experience new level gameplay. Deep you go down higher will be the rewards. You have to jump into this with the best build for this coil activity. While completing the puzzle there will be difficulty, there will be traps on the ground, fading darkness. You need to shoot the pots which will be dropping the wishing glass. These wishing glasses are used to upgrade the dragon’s gifts, and once you get enough wishing glasses, you will be able to get some secret chests as well.
Weekly Encounter Order change
The encounter orders will change from time to time. Below we will discuss them.
- First Encounter
The first encounter will be in Divining Hall.
- Second Encounter
The second encounter will be in the Temple of Queen’s Wrath.
- Third Encounter
Reaver’s Orison will be for the Third encounter
- Fourth Encounter
The cell of the sycophant is for Fourth Encounter.
Difficulty modifiers
Playing in the duo is not as easy as it looks. The difficulties will be higher with higher rewards
Multiplicity
The difficulty level becomes high when playing with teammates.
Full Extinguish
Teammates will reach back to the orbit if they die with 0 Revive Token.
Limited Revives
The revives will be limited and if you want to get more revives you need to purchase it with wishing glass
Activity Modifiers
Togetherness
There will be a reduction during the regeneration of basic health. But alternatively, your health will be increased as you are closer to the teammate.
Galvanized
It will be difficult to astonish the fighter.
Threats
There will be a boost in damage taken from specified component categories.
Overcharge
There will be an overcharged state of some weapons equipped with Adversary deterrents.
This activity takes 45 minutes to complete, to save more time Duo gameplay will be recommended. Each pathway will be going to difficult with more danger and enemies and boss fights.
How to get Dragon’s Gift
You will be getting the wishing glass from the pots and from killing enemies. To purchase the Dragon’s Gift, you need to have enough loot of Wishing glass. Complete a full pathway by defeating the mini-boss traversal boss. The Dragon’s Gift will be available in Riven, so move back to Riven and buy them, if you have enough Wishing glass. Some of the wishing glass will be available in Riven’s area. Shoot the pots and collect the Wishing glass. Interact with the Spirit of Riven.
There are three categories of Dragon’s gift. The below table describes each of them.

Tier 2
Mini-boss Enhancement
It includes the Mini-boss Enhancement that will increase the damage by 10% for the mini-boss.
Arc Enhancement
Arc increases the damage by 10% from all the weapons.
Stasis Enhancement
Stasis damage increases by 10% from all weapons and abilities.
Tier 3
Super Accelerant
It boosts up the abilities to 200% faster.
Power Weapon Enhancement
The power slots of weapons increased by 20%
Clearing a Pathway
In search of Wishing Glass Shards, you need to cover up as many pathways as you can. The Wishing Glass increases the opportunity to purchase the best dragon’s gift from the spirit of Riven. Shoot many pots, and kill many enemies during the pathway, as a result, you will be granted more loot of wishing glass shards. With the 4 encounters and a boss fight, the pathway is divided. The pathway duration is similar to the Riven’s Lair but with more difficulty.
Break as many pots as you can and search for the hidden chest that has great value in this activity. The mechanism is simpler more the Wishing Glass more the score you build up.
Hidden Chest Locations
There are a total of 8 hidden chests in The Coil activity. Getting all of them will give you platinum rewards. To open their doors, you need to reach Score thresholds. This will be done by getting all the pots in those areas and looting the Wishing Glass. They will only appear in the pathways between encounters, where you need to step on 3 plates.
Pathway 1 (Splintered Geode)
Shoot the pots collect the Wishing Glass and open the hidden chest and you will be rewarded. The rewards will be Wish Engram, Walking Vigil, and Additional power to the spirit of Riven.
Pathway 2 (Fetid Conduit)
Follow the path to the left side jump up the rock and then jump down the rock. On the left side, you can see the hidden chest. Unlock the chest and you will be rewarded with Appetence and Walking Vigil.
Pathway 1 (Fetid Conduit)
You will get the hidden chest #3 in the pathway 1. Just to the left area of the blue diamond-type geodes.
Pathway 2 (Splintered Geode)
Press “E” to open the chest and collect the loot. As a reward, you will get Abide the Return.
Pathway 1 (Splintered Geode)
You need to move to the right upper area of the room by jumping on a few steps. Unlock the chest by “E” and you will be rewarded with Retold Tale and Appetence.
Pathway 2 (Fetid Conduit)
There will be a small area to the right of the exit portal. Move to that area to get the hidden chest. As a reward, there will 10% addition to the Spirit of Riven.
Pathway 1(Splintered Geode)
The small portion of land will lead you toward a chasm. Move to the right side and there you will get the hidden chest. There will be an increase of 10% in Spirit of Riven.
Pathway 2(Fetid Conduit)
On to the blue Geode, there will be a passage that leads to the hidden chest. There will be an increase of 10% in Spirit of Riven.
Note: Remember you need to open only those chests that have no lightning when you see it. To glowing chest has spikes in it and can damage your health.
