Learn Everything About Valorant Premier

Riot Games has fulfilled its promise of adding new dimensions to the game. They have introduced a competitive mode to the Valorant system. It is a step ahead of the Radiant mode. The competition is much higher than the usual Ranked competitions. 

They have named this new mode, Premier. A beta version was tested that produced great results. If you are still unaware of the Valorant Premier version, I have covered everything you should know about Premier Valorant.

What is Valorant Premier?

Premier is the latest competitive mode provided by Riot Games. It has a higher level of competition, even greater than Ranked. It’s a challenge for players who always look for highly competitive rounds. It goes beyond Radiant. It is particularly meant for players who can face massive challenges and struggle to survive in tough competitions. 

Valorant Premier Release

Valorant Premier was launched on August 29. 2023 after testing a successful premier beta Valorant version. It lied against Episode 7 Act 2. Stage one of Valorant Premier mode has already ended in October 2023. If you are playing Premier, your team members, and history will be transferred to this mode. Yet the zone, division, and enrollment will be altered.

Latest version of Valorant Premier

The E8A2 version was released on Match 13, 2024. This version will continue till April 28, 2024. Before 12 March, the enrollment process was carried out, and the matches were scheduled for March 13- April 27. The final Valorant Premier scheduled time is April 28, 2024. It has the following matches available:

  • Ascent
  • Icebox
  • Bind
  • Lotus
  • Sunset
  • Breeze
  • Split

How Valorant Premier Works?

The Premier mode is classified into 4 categories. The map is assigned every week, and you are bound to play in it. You can see these maps once the stage starts. It offers three days for playing the battle, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. 

For each match, you will get at least 25 points. If you can win it, you will get 100 points. However, if you are absent from a scheduled battle you will not get any points. These points are summed up at the end to check if you qualify for the Tournament. It requires 674 points in total.

Who Can Play Valorant Premier?

Valorant has introduced this new mode for every player. If you have a Valorant account, you can enjoy this new mode. You have to certify that the phone number you use is verified.  MMR is essential by fulfilling all premier ranks Valorant placements. If your Valorant account has been banned for any reason, you are not eligible for this Premier mode. Valorant Premier can be played with teams of up to 7 members.

The team is aligned with a division that gets to play weekly matches and tournaments. Division champions are announced at the end of the session. A division is formed with the top 5 players you have involved in your team. You will be informed about your division after the completion of the enrollment phase. Here are the 5 Valorant Premier Divisions:

  • Open 1-5
  • Intermediate 1-5
  • Advanced 1-5
  • Elite 1-5
  • Contender

Note: You cannot change the members of your division once you have played a match. 

How to Verify Phone Number?

  • Go into your Premier dashboard, and click verify.
  • Choose your country code for phone numbers.
  • You will see a second box. Type your contact number in this box.
  • Check your mobile phone for a verification message. 
  • Write down the code received in the message on the screen.
  • It’s done!

What to do After you are Qualified for the Tournament?

If you manage to score 675 points, you will automatically enter a tournament. You will see a bracket on the Premier hub of the client. Here, you will be updated about the team against you, and the time of the match. You cannot control the time of this match. 

All the tournament matches are held on the same day. A single elimination format is followed. Every bracket has eight teams, so every team has a chance to win in any match. Every team scoring above 375 points is gathered and classified comprising 8 teams. Every group has one winner who will get the winning rewards.

Valorant Premier Queue Windows

Queue windows for Vakorant matches vary among different Zones and are based on your local time zone. Weekly matches are set to be played at 7 pm of your local time. Every team has a limit of playing two matches per week. You can play after 6 days or play both on the same day. The week of this system starts every Tuesday.

Valorant Premier Rules for Live Match

This new game mode has its own set of rules and regulations that are to be followed by every player to avoid penalties. 

  • If you win 12 rounds, you will get Overtime Priority. 
  • Overtime Priority holding team decides the starting positions. It uses a voting system that needs at least 5 votes to consider.
  • Teams will switch sides in every round.
  • After playing 3 sets of Overtime, you can play A final round, Sudden death.
  • The team should have 675 points to qualify for the Valorant premier Playoff tournament.

Valorant Premier Rewards

Like all other battles, Valorant has some surprising rewards for the players of the Playoff tournament. These can include:

  • Winning Title
  • A new Gun buddy
  • Plater card to play one match

You can also qualify for a Crest by playing two matches per week, or at least one tournament match with a team. Launch Stage Crest is only available when the next premier stage starts.

Teams for Premier League Valorant

You are free to create Valorant teams for the premier anytime. Once a team is created, you can play in the upcoming matches. Follow these steps to create a Vlaornt Premier team;

  • Start by deciding on a unique name for your team. It should range from 1 to 15 characters.
  • You can add some personalization to the team logo and colors by optimizing it.
  • You can invite team members yourself, or anyone can join the team. The top 5 players will be considered at the end.
  • You have to pick a zone where you will be playing. Once you have selected a Zone, and played a match in it, you cannot change it. Your team will only stand against teams that are from the same zone as yours. 
  • Players are only allowed to stay a part of one team at a time. If you were a part of another team, you can still join another team.

Can I Leave a Team Anytime?

Yes, you are free to exit from any team as long as it is not a part of the queue. You can do this by Context menu > Leave team. Keep in mind that if you want to receive a Crest, you should have played two weekly matches, or at least one Playoff match in association with that team.

Can I add a New Player After the marches have started?

Yes, you are allowed to add players, but you can’t change divisions. The player should not compel you to change Divisions. E should be a part of the same division. If you try to do so, an error will occur. Moreover, if you already have 7 members in the team, you cannot add another member. 

How to Play in the Valorant Premier?

Firstly, it’s important to be available on a set schedule. All your team members should be online at the decided time. It’s better to create a Roster with 7 members, so if one goes missing, you can still play the game. You have to collaborate with your team to win through these highly competitive matches.  

Valorant Premier Stage E8AI

The latest stage of Valorant Premier, E8AI, started on January 9, 2024. It will go on for almost seven weeks, and end up on March 3, 2024. This 7 week time has been further divided into three classes;

  • Enrollment: January 9 to 16
  • Matches: January 17 to March 2
  • Tournament: March 3

If you have created a team before January 16, you can take part in the matches anytime.

Where is Premier on Valorant?

If you fulfill the eligibility requirements of Valorant Premier, you will see a Premier button on the screen. It lies below the Play option on the homepage. They have included an explanatory mode that guides you when you visit the page for the first time.

To view the standing of teams you can follow these steps:

  • Select Premier from the homepage menu.
  • Here, you will click on Standings.

All standings are updated after the completion of a match. They are arranged based on scores earned. 

Important Tips!

If you are fascinated by the new game mode, you should be aware of all its details. Here are a few things to consider before you sign up for Valorant Premier.

  • You should have guaranteed availability on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays or at least one of the three days. Missing a match can lose you points.
  • Have good team members who are available on the set Valorant Premier schedule.
  • Try to play two matches per week. Yet, if you manage to play 6 matches, you can qualify for the tournament. If required you win three of them.
  • Once you have earned 675 points, you can stop playing the matches. However, if you want to gain extra points, you should play these matches.
  • You will get information about the team against you, just before the match starts.
  • You can get at least 5 minutes between the tournaments to take some rest.
