Rocket League Season 14; Release Date, Price, Events & Rewards

Rocket League has hit a 6-month high player count this March. With 39k concurrent players, the game is surely got a little life back. While the heights that the Rocket League saw in early 2020 have nowhere to be seen truthfully it is still far away from dying. The reason for this peak is that we have a new season to play.

So as you might know there are quarterly seasonal updates in Rocket League and Psyonix has released 2024’s first season. There are new bodies for cars, drops for season 13’s rewards, a whole new arena variant to play on, and a lot more in this season. So in this blog, I will give a comprehensive overview of Rocket League Season 14. The season will start on March 6 and it will end on June 5 giving you a whole 60 days to play and get those rewards.

Rocket League Season 14

This season’s rocket pass is priced at 10$. It comes with a lot of premium rewards.

There are seventy tiers for this rocket pass. And I don’t want this to get crowded with rewards you don’t want to read so I wouldn’t include them. So I figure that as the new season wears out. Let’s talk about what new content Psynoix has added to the game.

Admiral:

Admiral uses the Dominus hit-box which gives it very good aerial control considering that Dominus is famous for it. Admiral has 48 different body colors and 14 different painted styles to choose from. However, you need to level up before changing the car’s colors.

Mako:

Major uses the Breakout like 13 other bodies in the game giving it an edge on flicking and in 50/50s. The body also has a shape like Nexus/Nexus SC because both of them are a little similar. After all, both use the same body. As for the colors, it has a basic 48-color palette.

Psynoix also told us in this season’s patch notes that both of these cars will come to Fortnite pretty soon.

McLaren 765 LT:

The McLaren 765 LT which was licensed in January 2022 is now fully customizable. If you own this vehicle then you will be able to see 5 different decals in your inventory. Decals like Geofade tiger claw and lighting.

That is it for the bodies let’s move on to the next one.

So in this season, there’s a new variant of the OG aquadome. In the new variant “Salty Shallows”.  So it is 90 percent the same as the regular one the only big change is on the land’s texture before Aqua Dome used carbon fiber type hexagonal land texture but now in the salty shallows, it has all grass on the land. While for a whole new season, it’s a little underwhelming according to the community but it is still better than nothing.

The Tournament Rewards:

So I figure that skipping to the rewards would make more sense because other procedures of getting your rewards or any unspent credits into rewards are pretty routine stuff.

So for season 14’s tournament rewards:

  • Heat quake goal explosion.
  • Joke teeth
  • Paladin ScorpCorp
  • Carnival duck.
  • Player anthem “Mentis Machina”
  • Heat quake boost.
  • Shabbler Tires.
  • Hoopaloop tires.
  • Circuit tires.
  • Fidge tires.
  • Heat quake trail.
  • Decal subdood.

Unfortunately, we only get one decal in this season but apart from that the shabbler tires and the heat quake trails are pretty cool looking in-game. The overall laser theme in this season is pretty good.

Also, this season if you play a tournament you’ll get an all-star cap even when you’ve only played one tournament in the whole season.

Season’s Competitive rewards:

This season’s rewards are plentiful, technically the rewards are from season 13 but they are coming at season 14. So for the sense of it let’s just call them season 14’s rewards.

The rewards are relative to your previous season’s rank. So the better your rank and level in the previous season will reflect in the rewards.

So all of them are beat sync decals meaning they react and bounce to whichever music is playing on the main menu.  I’ll list all of them with the lowest possible rank that you need to get them.

  • Bronze 1: Bronze Beat synced decal
  • Silver 1: Silver Beat Synced Decals.
  • Gold 1: Gold Beat-Synced Decal
  • Platinum 1: Platinum Beat-Synced Decal
  • Diamond 1: Diamond Beat-Synced Decal
  • Champion 1 Champion Beat-Synced Decal
  • Grand Champion 1: Grand Champion Beat-Synced Decal

You’ll get all lower rewards than your current rank. If you have a platinum rank then you’ll get all of the rewards from bronze to all the way gold. Also after this update, all of the champion titles will show in your game according to your rank and the game mode you play.

Gameplay Changes:

In season 14 there are not many changes when it comes to the raw gameplay. Here are the few changes that Psyonix has added for this season.

New animation and icons to the casual card on the play menu. So for the dueling arcade, a tiny VS icon will appear in the left corner. In the Limited time modes, a golden wheel will appear on the cars and lastly, the play menu will call out which modes are active in the upper left corner.
