All the original heroes are brought to the sequel as Overwatch 2 has come back. The recent amendments to the game made some heroes better or more viable by switching from only one tank to 5v5. One of the heroes is Brigitte.
This blog will introduce you to Brigitte, her abilities, flaws, and tips for her.
Overview of Brigitte
With Brigitte’s abilities as a support hero, she feels like a tank. She possesses a healing ability that heals not only herself but also the people around her for a short period. Since she possesses a melee weapon, after hitting her rivals, she can heal. You can also check all the real name of Overwatch 2 characters.
Apart from healing her allies, she can also heal her rivals from far away by throwing repair packs. Her shield works like a lifesaver for her because it protects her from less damage.
If an enemy deals her damage, she can deal with that with her shield and also counterattack the rivals who caused her damage. So, her ultimate attribute is to heal herself and others around her.
Abilities of Brigitte
The following are the abilities of Brigitte that makes her stand out:
Rocket Flail: It means she has an extended-range Melee weapon.
Repair Pack: This means that she can heal her friends for a limited period.
Whip Shot: This means that to kill her rival, who is far away, she can launch her flail forward.
Barrier Shield: It means she can hold a shield facing forward.
Shield Bash: When you have already deployed the Barrier Shield, you can dash to kill back your rival.
Rally ultimate: It means she can rush and grant extra health to nearby friends.
Inspire passive: This means she can manage after getting damaged by her rivals and heal her allies.
An Aggressive Play is What Brigitte Thrives on
Brigitte is best used in Control Point and Push matches where aggressive play is required. If you want to heal others, you must be dealing damage because you can heal others; Brigitte’s order to do so, she should be attacking her rivals.
To get into these situations, you should have her shield. A Whip Shot is used to bring healing if you need it.
If there is distance between you and your opponent, there will be limited healing at that time. This is because Brigitte could be better at defence when it comes to distance.
Remember that you are Sain’ta Support.
Brigitte has low health at 200 HP because she is a support hero, which is, unfortunately, what makes her flawed.
She must balance aggression and calmness to stay alive. If she becomes overly aggressive, she can become endangered and be killed by enemies.
To prevent it, use the shield for protection between melee attacks. After attacking your rival, you can use the shield and get a limited time to heal, at least before dropping your guard and fighting back with enemies. It’s because after hitting someone, Inspire stays for a few seconds.
Know the Ultimate Before Going into the Game
Brigitte can allow you and your team to rush and heal due to her ultimate attribute, Rally.
Before entering the fight, you should consider two things. Remember that it is not good in the middle of the battle because while you are trying to increase your health, you put yourself at risk of getting killed.
- Rally allows you and your teammate to start a fight with a burst of energy, which is over health.
- It allows you and your teammates to reach the team fight faster by increasing your movement speed. However, it works at the beginning of the fight when you actually need to win the battle, not in mid-fight when you are already half-way there.
Keep in mind that once your ultimate attribute comes to an end, your overall health won’t stay.
More Brigitte tips
The following are tips for Brigitte that you can use to ace your game:
- You can reduce the distance between you and your opponent by using the Shield Bash, as well as dealing damage.
- If you get to see your enemy far away or near a ledge, kill them then and there with a Whip Shot.
- If your rivals are not close for you to attack, use Whip Shot, as it lets you heal when you hit someone.
- Make sure to use your Repair Packs regularly since you can keep a maximum of 3 of them for yourself.
- Prior to the teammate going for a fight, throw the Repair Packs preemptively as they provide aid for a few seconds.
Guidelines
The following are the guidelines you need to follow in the game:
- At the beginning of the game, take your cover. It is advised in order to save your HP.
- After taking your cover, look for your team and keep in sight of your opponents, too.
- Before your enemy gets on top of you, maintain your distance so that you can throw flankers to protect yourself.
- Plan and strategically have defensive and aggressive rotation options available for yourself. So that you can either protect yourself by getting back to safety or push up.
