Blizzard is giving more treats in holiday spirit with Diablo IV getting a full access free trial to Vessel of Hatred and Spiritborn class. Spiritborn class is the new class added with Vessel of Hatred and one of the most OP classes in Diablo IV. However, the free trial is not available on Steam. But you can check it out on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox app, or Battlenet, Blizzard’s free PC launcher.

Diablo IV Season 7 is only a few months away and Season of Hatred is going to be the game’s longest season. Diablo 4’s free trial is live now through Jan. 3, 2025, The Diablo 4 trial isn’t available on Steam. However, it is on sale on Steam, along with Battlenet and the Xbox store for 40 percent off while the trial lasts. You can get the base game of Diablo 4, with all the free updates Blizzard launched since it first released in May 2023, for $29.99. If you’re really keen, you can get Diablo 4 and the Vessel of Hatred expansion on sale – for $49.99 instead of the usual $69.99.

The trial seems to give you full access to Diablo 4, with no limits on class, level, or equipment. You could, conceivably, plow through the entire campaign and dabble a fair bit in the seasonal realm if you wanted, though games like Diablo 4 are best sampled in smaller sessions or with friends.

Diablo IV and WoW players are both in a treat for a limited time. If you own Diablo IV Vessel of Hatred and War Within for WoW you can get free rewards such as Invincible Mount in Diablo and the Amalgam of Rage Mount. Blizzard has run a few cross-promotion events between Diablo 4 and WoW since the former launched in June 2023.

However, Diablo now has strong competition from Path of Exile 2, another ARPG that released into early access this month. But the free trial to new Spiritborn class can be a nice initiative for players who wanted to try Diablo and jump in for free till next year.
