The full reveal is not yet here, but some fantastic talks are hitting the town. We can see the highlights of how amazing this new season will be. These highlights show new maps and weapons for the players. Grime is the popular map with an array of new opportunities.
Also, in this article, we will not discuss the new camos at all because we have already covered the Modern Warfare 3 new camos in the event.
Release Date
The season 3 reload is expected to be released on May 1, 2024, at 9 am Pacific time.

New Maps of Season 3
Grime
You can enhance the gameplay experience through some new and exciting maps. One utterly new map is set to launch, along with the repurpose of Rebirth Island. The highlights mainly feature “Grime”. It is a small-medium sized 6v6 map well designed for thrill lovers. It has opportunities for long-range combat and a lot of close-quarter engagements. This map is crowded on the outside, so it requires long lines of vision. Though we already have similar maps like Doss House and Stash House, this map would be a great addition to the list of small maps.
Checkpoint
The checkpoint is back again. It is an upgraded location from Rebirth Island. This new upgrade has added depth to the multiplayer matches. Players will get to explore dynamic surroundings. If you have already played on Rebirth, you can expect what Grime will offer. It is also a small-sized map. It is not the conventional 3-lane symmetrical mop. It has a lower-lying area with a lot of coverage.

Weapons
Ball 27
Now, let’s talk about the weapons for the upcoming season 3. This season would bring one new weapon and a couple of aftermarket parts to the matches. Players are eagerly waiting for the launch of Ball 27. It is an assault rifle that will be open in the upcoming season. It is a classic from the advanced Warfare era. It has a redacted unlock, which means that it will be a part of the redacted segment of the battle pass.
Aftermarket Parts
This season, 19 weapon grades and a Bullpup AR will be available. An array of aftermarket parts will be available. The most common ones are the Jack Revenger kit for the BP 50 and the Jack Patriot M16. Other common ones are the Lockwood Mark 2 and the Jack Atlas Kit, which turns the AMR9 into its advanced Warfare counterpart. These kits will improve the customization options. With the new features, you can personalize your match.
New Modes
Two engaging modes will be launched, of which only one has yet to be disclosed. It is ‘Minefield. ‘ It is similar to the Hordo mode of season 2, yet it has explosive mines that make it a new mode. These mines are scattered across the map, and they are the center point of the map. To survive through them, one would require the use of EOD perks and strategic planning.
These additional features will keep the players engaged throughout this season. When you get a skill from the enemy, a proximity mine is dropped at the enemy’s corpse. It makes them unable to pick it up. This will be deadly for the enemy’s team. So, if you are playing on this map, after a few minutes, you will find a lot of mines lying on the map. This would be wild. Escort, a warzone mode of the past, will come back in this season. It is like a standard 6v6 map similar to Black Ops 3.
Additional features
- Vision goggles: Players will get to use vision goggles that improve vision. They allow you to move between normal vision and the enhanced vision provided by integrated target highlighting. Yet they have a limited battery, so you cannot use them for a longer time.
- EMD Mine: Another surprising addition is the equipment used in the EMD mine. It is a proximity-triggered device. It will adhere to any surface if it is triggered. It will shoot out the tracking devices that reveal the enemy’s location. Players can use it to find out the position of the enemy in real time.
- COD: Cod will support veterans in creating a sense of community throughout the season. It is absent on the roadmap, and little is shared about it. It can be an in-game thing where you can participate or an XP-based event.
- Weekly Rewards: Players will get weekly rewards from this season. It’s a new introduction to this game.
- Zombies: Though some layers were ignored, some got terrific additions to their features. Modern Warfare season 3 zombies have got additional content. Story missions, a dark ether rift, and a forbidden warlord at the Raha Island. It lies across the Shah manner, where you can find mortar rounds and RPG fire. The warlord’s fortress is getting more challenging. It will have RPG fire and booby traps to trick the players. It is trapped with wires and a bunch of other traps. Make sure that you step in it carefully.
- Dead wire detonators: Dead wire detonators and a Sergeant’s beret will make it even more exciting. Dead wire detonators will be attached to all explosive types of weapons, including lethals and launchers. They are self-regenerating gas masks. Sergeant Beerte will disguise you among Merks. It calls for a trustworthy bodyguard who will cover you until the end.
- Weapon trade stations will return as they were in War Zone 1. Here, you will train a weapon of a particular rarity and get a few things back. The higher the rarity, the better the loot you will get.
- The specialist perk package will also be returned. You will get it from the trade stations. Foresight kill streaks have been returned. Players will enjoy these new experiences combined with upgrades of previous features.
- A utility box will be added to Rebirth Island. This box would be beneficial, as it would allow you to gather armor and ammunition.
Season 3 updates focus more on small maps like Rebirth Island, and the larger maps were neglected. So, big map fans are going to miss a lot this season. Rebirth Island has been made more aesthetic by introducing variable times of the day. It will give nighttime foggy experiences and add to the aesthetics. It will have bright and clear skies with a sky box.
Additions to the Big Maps
Bunkers across the Zakhaev will be uncovered. Some people suggest that it will have large tanks containing human remains within them. It may bring narrative development and additional loot opportunities for players. It will make the warzone even more exciting. Players should take care when exploring these new environments.
