Tips for Playing against Every Valorant Agent – Win all Games!

Valorant is different from other games. Here, there are many agents, who have different playing strategies. This can make a win difficult. We are here to help you! This guide will outline all the strategies to win against every Valorant agent. So, let us begin without any delays.

Astra

Tip 1: Don’t Hide in Its Smoke

If you see a smoke that surrounds Astra’s star, beware of it. This looks and sounds similar to regular smoke. However, it is not the usual smoke that remains for 15 seconds. So, never try to hide in it. This smoke will vanish in 2 seconds. If you hide in this smoke, you will be standing open in the air after 2 seconds. Don’t forget to wait for two seconds for Astra’s smoke. 

Tip 2: Stars don’t produce smoke

Astra usually positions its stars when the match starts. The position of these stars does not give any information. However, players often assume that it may produce smoke. This assumption can take away your life. 

Tip 3: Make rapid movements

Astra is a great agent, but it may get confused at higher paces. She takes time to act, so if your players are fast enough to confuse Astra, you can manage to win the game.

Tip 4: Monitor Astra’s stars

Keep a check on the position of Astra stars, because they may get you out of the plant zone, This way you cannot plant the Spike. The opposing Astra should be located near the plant zone edge to get you out of it.

Brimstone

Tip 1: Monitor the smoke

Since Brimstone’s smoke is visible in a short range, you can get an idea of its position. Go to that position to take him Down!

Tip 2: Use your knife

Brimstone has the strategy to confine the enemies in a closed space. Then, it may release orbital strike deals. If you are confined, hurry up by using your knife. It will allow you to survive the Strike damage.

Tip 3: Wait for the beacon to disappear

Brimstone’s beacons help kill multiple agents, yet it may get difficult to handle. Your gun will get a higher shooting rate. It is better to wait for the beacon to disappear.

Tip 4: Jump through the Grenade

Whenever you come across a Brimstone’s Incendiary grenade, jump through it. It will prevent greater damage.

Cypher

Tip 1: Destry the spy cam while invisible

Cypher’s spy cam gleams, and makes a noise when it is activated. If it gets invisible, you can still destroy it. Once, you get the right shoot, Cypher will not act till 45 seconds, so use this opportunity to your advantage.

Tip 2: Locate trap wires

Make sure to get information about Cypher trap wires before you go into the narrow passages of the map. If you find yourself close to a wire, follow one of these strategies;

• Shoot it directly, yet it would reveal your location. Rush from the place, to change your location after this.
• Some agents have abilities to destroy these wires from long distances such as Sova’s Shock Bolt. 
• Depending on the wire’s position, either bend down or jump through it.
• You can also stand near the wire, to give a false hint of a clear area. If the opposing team approaches, you can heat them down.

Killjoy

Tip 1: Utilzie Raze and Sova

Use the abilities of Raze and Sova to destroy all four of Killjoy’s abilities. Her turret and Lockdown can be destroyed. Alarmbot and Nanoswarm may be invisible, but you can assess their location once near them. You can kill them with a single shot.

Tip 2: Use smoke

Her Alarmbot and Turret will not activate when you are not visible. So, you can use smoke to pass near them easily. 

Note: Omen’s smoke is hollow, hence it is not preferred for this.

Tip 3: Kill enemies when they are bare-handed

When Killjoy uses its Lockdown, the enemies will get bare hands for 8 seconds. This is a golden opportunity. You can access the location of the device from the map. You can either rush to the site and destroy the device, or rotate from the site. Sova’s Hunter Fury can be sued to destroy Killjoy’s ultimate power. 

Jett

Tip 1: Shoot rapidly

Jett is slow to act. It needs a second to pull out her gun, In the meantime, you can shoot her. 

Tip 2: Beware of her Presence

Jett is usually hiding at weird eagles to shoot you. So beware of her presence while moving through the map. If you hear her cast, you can predict that she is nearby. 

Tip 3: Monitor hiding spots

Jett can use Updraft and hover through some angles. So, keep a check on such positions. 

Omen

Tip 1: Be mindful of hollow smokes

Omen has smokes that are hollow. Your enemy might be waiting for you inside them. Be careful while you approach this smoke.

Tip 2: Monitor elevated positions

Omen has a Shrouded Step that allows it to move at higher angles. So keep a check on the elevated positions. 

Tip 3: Hear the teleporting sound

Omen can teleport anywhere using the Shadows. This makes a sharp noise, so you can easily get it down. He can cancel the teleport midway if he senses danger, But if you manage to kill him, he will get back to his original position. Keep yourself out of sight when he is teleporting to a location, so he is not aware of the danger. 

Tip 4: Do not inhabit too much areas

Omen’s Shrouded Step allows him to move around the map without getting noticed. You should not inhabit many areas, as it may cause you to get blindsided. 

Raze

Tip 1: Catch her in the air

Raze can explode sites with her Balst Packs. It has a sound cue, so listen carefully to catch her while in the air. These Balst packs allow her to make rapid movements, so she keeps monitoring elevated angles.

Tip 2: hear the boom bot

Whenever you hear a boom bot from Raze coming towards you, know that the opposing team is behind it. Plan your strategy accordingly. 

Tip 3: Stay calm

Raze is more active if you are rushing, or there is a chaotic scene. You have to do the opposite! Stay calm so you don’t get caught by her abilities. 

Tip 4: Hide the showstopper

Showstopper can kill multiple people in seconds. So, before Raze can use it, hide. You can hear the sound of pulling a Showstopper out. This sound is a signal to hide before it gets out of time.

Phoenix

Tip 1: Turn away from the curveball

Phoenix releases a curveball in a second. If you hear it coming, turn away or take cover of the situation. But if you are blind, shoot at the best possible guess you can make about your enemy’s location. 

Tip 2: Fire the blaze wall

Though Phonenix can heal himself using Hot hands, you can utilize this opportunity to kill it. If you notice his hot hands, consider firing the Blaze wall or the wellbeing.

Tip 3: Jump through Hot hands

It is possible to lessen the damage caused by hot hands using a jumping strategy. 

Tip 4: Hide till you see a green icon

If Phoneix uses his ultimate ability, Run it back, you can hide and wait for its time limit. This is indicated by a green icon.

Reyna

Tip 1: Kill Reyna’s Leer

You can kill Reyna’s Leer, by one of the following methods;

• 1 shot by an operator
• 2 shots by Sheriff
• 3 shots by Phanotm or Vandal
• 4 shots by Ghost

Tip 2: Wait for the Leer to finish

Reyna doesn’t have much against you. Her sole powe ris her Leer. If she has used all her charges of leer, you can easily get her down.

Tip 3: Track the Location

If she uses a Devour, you can get a track of its location. It is because of the Tether, yet you may not get a precise location. 

Tip 4: Kills her when she is invisible

Reyna can get invisible for 2 seconds after it gets a kill. You can kill her in this time. Be careful that two or more members cannot stand at the same angle. It may get both of them killed.

Skye

Tip 1: Skye’s ultimate power, Seekers, and her Trailblazer can be valuable to grab the enemy’s attention, and get valuable information. So, refrain from laying full focus on destroying its casting ability. 

Tip 2: Skye has a guiding light, that always releases multiple flashes at once. So, if you see one flash, get prepared because more are on their way. Find a suitable hiding spot. 

Tip 3: Skye can heal its team agents. So, don’t get into the trap that a player is weak and you can easily get them. If Skye is present, it may have already healed its fellow. Her healing ability has enormous power to heal within seconds.

Sova

Tip 1: If you see Owl Drone for a move in the match, be prepared. Sova would be behind the crone. Use this time to get it down, However, keep a check if other allies are present with it.

Tip 2: Often recon bolts get into your area. You should not shoot them unnecessarily because it will bring you nothing. Sova is there to scout for its team.

Tip 3: Sova may target you with his ult. In this situation, use your knife. Knife can help you to avoid death.

Viper

Tip 1: You should know the fact that your health will return to its starting point if you were caught by Viper’s poison cloud or toxic screen. They may affect your health, but you will get it back. 

Tip 2: Viper can release one-way smoke, that allows you to see her, but restricts your sight. So, just stop where you are and wait for it to get over. If you want to move ahead, utilize an agent’s ability.

Tip 3: Viper is difficult to handle when in its pit. Y=Utlize all possible abilities of other agents to get her out of the pit. You can use Raze’ explosives, or Breach’ rolling thunder. Reyna’s empress would also aid you.

Tip 4: Viper snake can bite you, but you can prevent this by jumping through it. 

Yoru

Tip 1: Always aim to destroy Yoru’s teleport Orb. To do this, you should be close to it, as your vision may get restricted. Even if you know Yoru’s location, you are never sure if it will teleport there or not.

Tip 2: You can act rapidly. This duelist uses dimensional drift and Teleport Orb to move swiftly. Always have a gum set up, so you can face him. 

Tip 3: You can make fake sounds of steps. So, if your enemy has a Yoru, never trust the steps you can locate. Moreover, it can also deliver a false Fakeout.

Sage

Tip 1: If you face a barrier Orb wall from Sage, utilize Raze’s Balstpack to destroy it. If you have Sage, you can boost it up. If you don’t have Sage or Zraze you should wait for it to disappear. 

Tip 2: Sage can peek from the top of a wall. You may find it in weird places, so be prepared for it.

Tip 3: Never try to run in Sage’s Slow orb. It will only make noise, and make your run slower. It’s better to walk through it calmly.
