Destiny 2\u2019s next expansion, Edge of Fate,<\/a> is coming soon, and Bungie recently hosted a special live stream. In the Developer Live Stream, Bungie updated on what\u2019s to come in the new expansion. Devs revealed new content and some core mechanics changes that are coming in Destiny 2. Buildcrafting, Armor 3.0, gear tiered and new weapons system are getting updated with Destiny 2 Edge of Fate. However, the storyline and questline have not yet been revealed, but it takes place in a new area called Kepler and some new abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, from the major core changes that are coming with Edge of Fate, Armor is getting major updates. Gear is now tied to tiers, and there will be new Exotic weapons and armor in the new update. We will be going into detail about all the major updates coming to the present Exotic Armor in Edge of Fate. As all armor will go through these changes, even the ones you currently have. Exotic armor and weapons will be linked with the new armor system and will offer better stats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Destiny 2 Edge of Fate Release Date<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the recent dev live stream, it is confirmed Destiny 2 Edge of Fate expansion is coming next month. Destiny 2 Edge of Fate expansion will release on July 15, 2025. You will explore a new dungeon-like destination, Kepler and will include new Dark Matter powers, with more changes coming to the Armor system and weapons<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bungie revealed in-depth about the armor changes that are coming to the existing armors in Destiny 2. And they did a deep dive in their Destiny blog, and we got you covered with all the changes coming to the Exotic armors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are all the Exotic armor changes coming in Destiny 2 Edge of Fate expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • The Dragon\u2019s Shadow:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Now passively increases weapon stability and ready speed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Dodging reloads your equipped weapon.\n
        \n
      • No longer reloads holstered weapons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Activating your dodge ability grants the following effects for a short time:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Speedloader Slacks:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Adjusted the Tight Fit perk:<\/strong>\u00a0Dodging reloads all weapons and grants increased handling and reload speed for you and nearby allies. While this buff is active, additional dodges increase the strength of the buff and refresh the timer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Dealing sustained damage grants class ability energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Mask of Bakris<\/strong>:\n
            \n
          • Effects are now active when either an Arc or Stasis Super is equipped.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Reworked \u201cLight Shift\u201d:<\/strong>\n
              \n
            • No longer provides a non-stacking \u201cSurge\u201d damage bonus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Now grants +10% damage for eligible weapons (Stasis weapons, Arc weapons, and Lord of Wolves) per stack.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Stacks up to three times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • While active, weapon final blows grant class ability energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Khepri\u2019s Sting:<\/strong>\u00a0Removed automatic Smoke Bomb activation when using a melee attack. Removed Truesight when dealing damage with smoke bomb.\n

              • Added:\u00a0<\/strong>Killing weakened targets creates a burst of weakening smoke and returns smoke bomb energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Oathkeepers:\u00a0<\/strong>Increased maximum damage bonus from +150% to +200%. Now provides more of the total damage bonus earlier in the overdraw.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Blight Ranger:\u00a0<\/strong>Fixed an issue where cancellation damage was not consistently scaling based on Voltaic Mirror progress.\n
                  \n
                • Adjusted Voltaic Mirror meter behavior: Now requires 25% less reflections to reach maximum. Fills more evenly. Blocked melee attacks now count as a reflection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Maximum cancellation damage increased by 50%<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Minimum cancellation damage increased by 150%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Now always applies Blind before dealing damage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Updated visuals, audio, and timing of the blinding shockwave to better reflect its impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  Melee changes:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                  • Athrys\u2019s Embrace:<\/strong>\u00a0PvE Weighted Throwing Knife damage bonus increased from 200% to 300%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Liar\u2019s Handshake (and Spirit of the Liar)<\/strong>: PvE basic melee and Arc melee damage increased from 200% to 400%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Ophidia Spathe<\/strong>: Maximum PvE Throwing Knife damage bonus increased from 100% to 200%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • Triton Vice<\/strong>: PvE Glaive melee damage bonus increased from 100% to 200%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                    Warlock<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                      \n
                    • Starfire Protocol:<\/strong>\n
                        \n
                      • Now also activates on Radiant damage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Increased the Fusion Grenade energy gain from dealing damage from 2.5% to 5%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Reduced Fusion Grenade energy gain from final blows from 20% to 15%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Wings of Sacred Dawn:\u00a0<\/strong>Combatants are less accurate towards you while Tome of Dawn is active. While a Solar Super is equipped, Solar Weapon final blows now grant Restoration and reload your stowed weapons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      • Felwinters Helm:<\/strong>\u00a0Added:\u00a0\u201cPowered melee damage weakens targets.\u201d<\/strong>\n

                        • Applies a 15% weaken.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Weaken effects applied by the burst via melee or finisher final blows are unchanged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        • Promethium Spurs:\u00a0<\/strong>Reworked the perk Embers of Light:\n

                          • While a Solar Super is equipped, weapon defeats grant class ability energy and weapon defeats in a rift grant a different Solar verb depending on the\u00a0Rift<\/strong>:\n

                            • While in a Healing Rift, weapon defeats create a pulse that grants Radiant to you and nearby allies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                            • While in an Empowering Rift, weapon defeats instead grant Cure to you and nearby allies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                              • Winter\u2019s Guile<\/strong>: Maximum PvE melee damage bonus increased from 275% to 400%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                                Titan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                                  \n
                                • Crest of Alpha Lupi:<\/strong>\u00a0Additional effects added \u2013 Sustained damage while behind a barricade triggers another smaller healing pulse. Healing your allies grants barricade energy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                • Phoenix Cradle:\u00a0<\/strong>Updated VFX on Sunspots while the user has Phoenix Cradles to look more clearly supportive to allies.\n
                                    \n
                                  • Added additional effects:<\/strong>\u00a0Dealing sustained Solar weapon damage in a Sunspot extends its duration. Providing Solar buffs to allies has the chance to create a Sunspot at your feet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                  • Mk .44 Stand Asides:<\/strong>\u00a0Sprinting with Juggernaut active periodically grants you a stack of Static Charge. Sprinting while amplified creates an area behind you that grants allies Speed Booster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                  • Path of Burning Steps:\u00a0<\/strong>Increase Solar weapon damage and Solar Ignition damage based on the number of stacks of Roaring Flame you have.\n
                                      \n
                                    • Roaring Flame x1\/2\/3 grants +10\/15\/20% bonus Solar weapon damage and +5\/10\/15% bonus Ignition damage. (Stacks with Surge mods.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                    • Reduces the duration of Suspend, Slow, and Freeze effects applied to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                    • Abeyant Leap:\u00a0<\/strong>Now increases the duration of Suspend applied by enhanced Drengr\u2019s Lashes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                    • Actium War Rig:<\/strong>\u00a0Auto Rifle or Machine gun final blows increase their stability, ammo generation, and damage. (Stacks up to ten times. Higher stack counts expire more quickly.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                    • Stoicism \u2013 Spirit of Alpha Lupi:<\/strong>\u00a0Added: Healing your allies grants class ability energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                                      Melee changes:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                                      • Heart of Inmost Light<\/strong>: Maximum PvE melee damage bonus increased from 20% to 50%. Now increases the damage of unpowered and Glaive melee abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                      • Peregrine Greaves<\/strong>: Shoulder charge ability impact damage bonus against non-Champion, non-Tormentor, and non-miniboss targets increased from 363% to 400%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                      • Synthoceps and Spirit of the Synthoceps<\/strong>:\n
                                          \n
                                        • Melee damage bonus is unchanged (165%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                        • Melee damage bonus is no longer decreased when used with Combination Blow, Stylish Executioner, and Glaive Melee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                        • Damage bonus is still decreased against players when used with Lightning Surge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                        • Wishful Ignorance<\/strong>: Maximum PvE Frenzied Blade melee damage bonus increased from 100% to 200%. Maximum PvE Flechette Storm melee damage bonus increased from 50% to 200%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                                        • Wormgod Caress<\/strong>: Maximum PvE melee damage bonus increased from 275% to 400%. Melee damage bonus is no longer decreased when used with Roaring Flames or Glaive melee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
