Reyna Valorant Abilities

Reyna’s tool kits are made for self-sufficiency allowing her to thrive in high-pressure situations and turn the tide of any fight in her favor. Her signature ability Dismiss enables her to become invulnerable for a brief period allowing her to outmanoeuvre opponents and avoid being traded. Her Leer’s ability allows her to blind enemies giving her a distinct disadvantage in one-on-one engagements by temporarily blinding their vision.
Additionally, her Devour ability allows her to heal the full HP with a temporary amount of shield. This lets her remain a threat even after being tagged and last but definitely not least is her Ultimate Empress. Ultimate although not the most powerful Ultimate it’s by far the most fun ability in the game when used to full effect.

Leer (C Ability)

Reyna Valorant Flash, Although, it might catch a lot of flack, excels at a few things. The first thing it is very good at is breaking the Opponent’s Crosshair placement. There are also times when you’re going to want to throw your leer at the ground and that’s because of the unique way it works. It’s actually technically a blind and if thrown incorrectly it may be deemed completely ineffective.
This is because if someone walks in front of the Leer it no longer technically will be on their screen Deeming it ineffective. Always throw a Leer to your advantage. Either throw it at the ground or not too far from you when peaking an angle.
The flash is also very good at masking other utilities. If you have Gekko on your team and he flashes, the opponents can quite easily break him. However, when combined with other pieces of utility it becomes more powerful.

Dismiss (E Ability)

When Reyna gets a kill, she has access to something called a soul orb. Now this orb allows her to become completely invincible for a brief period of time. This allows her to play dangerous positions and still get out unscathed which is something most other agents can’t do. The tricky part about her soul lords is the fact that they fade very easily.
Enemies that die to Reyna, or die within 3 seconds of taking damage from Reyna, leave behind Soul Orbs that last 3 seconds. The Skill Gap with Reyna tends to be knowing When to Heal, When to Dismiss, and in some instances knowing to not even use an orb. This is because she can only use two orbs for the whole round so you need to make sure that when you do decide to use them, you’re getting some value out of it. Otherwise, you might find yourself in a position later on in the round where you need one to clutch up.
Reyna’s Dismiss Tip: It’s best to leave the orbs to sit for around a second, analyze the situation around you, and then make the decision on which ability to use.

The only exception to this of course is with her Empress active. You should use dismiss after a kill to reposition. You tend to do this after playing in an off-angle. An off-angle is an unexpected position that’s played in order to get a frag to put your team at an advantage. Ultimately, while dismissing you are invulnerable, enemies might be able to chase you down and kill you when you’re in a normal state.

Devour (Q Ability)

Reyna can heal up to 100 ultimates as well as a full 50 shield. If you happen to overheal past 100 HP, keep in mind it’ll expire after 30 seconds, so try to take a fight with it while you can. Empress (Ultimate)

Reyna very much is capable of being that raid boss kind of agent though and her peak form is definitely when using Empress. When activating Reyna’s Ultimate, there’s a time limit on how long it lasts. This timer will reset off a kill but make sure you activate her Ultimate only when you feel like you’ll be in a fight. This could be on retaking A Site defending A site or attacking.
You don’t want to pop Empress carelessly at the start of the round as there’s a good chance that oat could fade away and you could get absolutely no value out of it. While Empress is active, after getting a kill you instantly start healing without having to keep line of sight of a soul orb or even clicking anything, and this is why Reyna is so strong doe those with good mechanics.
Note: Reyna gains unlimited uses of Soul Orbs, with Devour automatically casting without consuming the orb. Dismiss during Empress will additionally grant invisibility.
The other thing about Empress is that you have an unlimited number of orbs and as long you’re getting kills you infinitely reposition. You can also go completely invisible unlike a normal dismiss which can make it harder for you to be tracked while you reposition but be careful enemies can still hear where you’re moving.

How to Heal effectively

You can jiggle peek in between your heals and dismiss to get a little more info instead of just running right away or healing right away. If you do get shots between your heals then your heal does get interrupted.

If you flash close to the ground then your flash will pop faster and this is really useful when you are taking close-range fights. You can throw a high flash in the air so the enemies have to flick upwards while you’re peaking them.

Combining Reyna’s Flash with other Agents

There’s also util combo, so to play Reyna at a high level you need to understand what kind of combos are strong with her. For instance, pairing Reyna Flash with Skye Flash or Skye Dog or Silva Dog can make it really hard for enemies to deal with that utility because if you throw a blind up in the high air or just even in the air then opponents are going to look at the flash to break it and it doesn’t take a lot to break it but if you pair it up with another flash then they are going to be looking at your blind to break it, so if you throw a paw flash in the direction of where Reyna threw her floss then it’s like a complete checkmate situation.
You can get a kill, a sword, and then alt and then dismiss so that when you dismiss, the dismiss becomes invisible and then you also learn to b-hop while being dismissed when you are taking a close range of fights to make it a lot harder for enemies to try to hit you after you get out of your dismiss

How to use Valorant Reyna Flash effectively

Stop throwing Reyna flashes in a normal way. Instead, you should flash high so that they have to make a big adjustment and ruin her cross-replacement while you just have to peak with it to get some very easy frags.

It’s important to note that when flashing high, if there is a player close to the flash, he may not get blinded by it so if you do suspect a player could be at a close angle, you can flash behind where you are going to peak and high to get that player blinded as well.
Reyna flash will take a split second to bloom so it’s a great idea to wait for it to pop before peaking or you may give the enemy an easy frag. If you want your flash to pop faster, you can throw it at the floor and since it travels less of a distance it will bloom faster. Be careful not to throw it inside of the floor though because then it will not blind anybody.

Reyna’s Heal

Let’s talk about Reyna’s Heal. It’s pretty self-explanatory but there are a few things you need to know about it. First of all, if you are being healed and if you take any damage at all, the healing will stop temporarily even if it’s only for a single damage point.
It’s important to note that you need to keep a line of sight on the healing beam or it will cancel. So, make sure not to break the beam if possible. Stop healing when you have 150 health. You only have two orbs and another cool little trick when healing is, if there are two soul orbs on the ground then you are actually able to heal while in the dismiss form. So, you are invulnerable while you are also healing your health back.

If there’s a Soul Orb in a position where you don’t have a direct line of sight on hookah on bind for example, you can just jump to heal and keep the beam going as long as you continue to jump and it should fully heal you.

Reyna Dismiss

Reyna Dismiss is one of the most important parts of the kit, this allows you to be able to abuse off angles that you wouldn’t be able to use on other agents and dismiss after getting a frag while also being invulnerable for a short period of time.

Playing like a Pro in Current Map Rotation

Let’s discuss all of the off angles that you should try to abuse in your ranked game when you are playing Reyna, up for certain maps in the current rotation.

Sunset Valorant Map

Stand on the top of the box with an elbow and you can get the cool-off angle for anyone swinging. If you get a kill dismissed behind the pole or from behind the same pillar you can play this angle and then dismiss to the site to fight with your team or you can stand on the top of the box on B and then dismiss back into boba after a frag. You can stand in B Main, get the kill, and dismiss to close right.

Lotus Valorant Map

Beside the door lotus is a really strong off-angle, you can dismiss all the way back to the site from it, or front B you can play the off-angle and dismiss the front B Site. In the tree, you can also hold off an angle near the wall beside the box and dismiss back safely into the tree.
