Valorant is going through major map pool changes than it has ever before. With new map pool changes coming with patch 10.04. Icebox and Ascent will return back in competitive map pool. Keeping their word, the developer has already announced when the next map pool rotation will arrive, just a week after the start of Season 2025 Act 1.
The first trailer for Episode 10 Act 1 for Valorant reveals new Initiator Tejo as well as the new battle pass coming with the Act including the new FLEX items. Moreover, showing brand new skins from Battle Pass. And showing casing the first skin bundle for year 2025, called the EX.O skin bundle.

Valorant Patch 10.02 Release date
Valorant patch usually have a release date of two weeks between each patch. Patch 10.02 for Valorant is set to be released on Tuesday February 4, 2025. There will be a planned maintenance for the patch and official patch notes will be available at that time on Valorant’s official website. The update rollout should start at 6:00 am PT for players in NA, LATAM, and Brazil servers. European players will probably have to wait until Wednesday, February 5th at 4:00 am GMT.
What is included in Valorant Patch 10.02?
We will be seeing few Agent changes as Riot revealed earlier. Iso, Deadlock, Harbor and Neon will be going through changes in the new patch 10.02. Moreover, some light tweaks could be coming to some other agents.
Quality of life updates, UI changes, new features, console changes and bug fixes will be deployed in the new patch. A new Valentine’s Day Event and an exclusive capsule could be released in the new patch 10.02. New VCT 2025 Capsule is also coming as a new bundle with the patch. New VCT Capsule will include a Melee Skin. It appears a new Smite bundle is coming since a dataminer revealed that textures for a Smite Vandal were added to the game files with patch 10.01.
The patch could also add a new Valentine’s Day-themed bundle to the store. If Riot is not bringing back the Capsule from last year, they are probably planning to have a different set on offer.

Valorant has introduced a new Ranked Shield system in competitive queues to ensure players from dropping ranks in Patch 10.01. This new Rank Shield System makes sure players having a bad game doesn’t lose their rank. The new system offers three shields that helps players from dropping down in ranks. Moreover, patch 10.01 includes changes to the new Agent Tejo and minor bug fixes.
