Rocket league Season 16 Patch Notes

So as you know in Rocket League after every 4 months there is a new season. Psyonix will release this year’s last season on the 9th of September. The previous season was pretty underwhelming with no new game modes or any new content that was good enough that would’ve gotten players excited.

But this time psyonix tried to do something different or you could say they gave us a little more to work with. So this season will have a whole new arena, a designing contest, and a new tournament structure. They also have fixed some well-known issues which I will try to discuss later on this blog.

The BMW body and RL X Bmw Contest:

So firstly let’s talk about this season’s only new body The BMW 1 Series RLE. There’s not much to talk about other than the body uses the octane hitbox, which is non-tradeable. The car doesn’t have decals yet since there’s a contest for designing them which I will tell you about in a minute. You can own this body by completing the rocket pass.

The Rocket League hosted a decal designing contest earlier in August. The winner of this contest would win a sum of 3 thousand dollars and a premium pass grant. The announcement of the winner will be in the first week of October.

New Arena:

In season 16 psynoix has also given us a new arena Called “Drift Woods”. The map’s setting is in the forest as the name suggests it. Like most of the other maps, the outside scenery of the map does not affect the gameplay much. However, the grass in this arena does have glossiness to it which makes it a little bit distracting to the players. The arena is available for Online Matches, Private Matches, Offline Matches, and Free Play.

So by watching this list, it is fair to say that you get a lot of cosmetics for your 10$. In my opinion, it is worth it to try at least and also you get half of them returned via completing the pass. Enough for the pass let’s move on.

Tournaments:

In this season the devs have decided to make some changes according to the feedback from the players.  The 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments would go live as soon as the season hits the game. Also, any unspent tournament credits will automatically get converted to rewards. Every player will be awarded an all-star cup, even the ones who only played the tournament once.

That’s it for this one I haven’t included the season 15 competitive rewards in this one because all of those rewards will welcome you to the main menu as soon as you open the game after the season’s release.
