Rainbow Six Siege has been a great success for Ubisoft. R6 has a loyal fanbase with a big e-sports circuit which brings the community closer with every passing year. To replicate the success that Ubisoft has achieved with console and pc versions of Rainbow Six Siege they wanted to try out the biggest gaming platform Which is mobile gaming.
Pubg mobile was the biggest success of any game that came to mobiles after being a hit on gaming consoles and PCs. Ubisoft is trying to replicate that success with its own game’s mobile edition. Rainbow Six Siege mobile has been in beta for the last 2 years. The r6 mobile closed beta started in September of 2022 and the game is still developing, meaning we will see the finished product in a year or two.
In this blog, I will extensively go to talk about it. How can you get into the beta, how much content is currently available for the mobile version of the game, the requirements to run the game, and lastly when it will be released?
How to get into the Beta:
Firstly you need to know there are only a handful of countries where Ubisoft is running its closed beta program. Those countries are:
- Canada
- U.S
- Mexico
- Brazil
- Singapore
- Philippines
- India
- France
- U.K
- Germany
- Italy
- Spain
- Japan
- South Korea
- Australia
So if you aren’t from any of these countries you would want to wait for the initial release to try the game out. And if you are in any of these countries and want to improve your gameplay in R6, you can always choose a competitive pro player to join you in team fights!
Now how do you get into the beta? The procedure is simple you just have to get a team and have to register for the upcoming Siege Cup. Keep in mind that only the leader of your clan needs to register for the closed beta. Here’s how you can register yourself for the Siege Cup and eventually for the closed beta of Rainbow Siege Mobile.
- Go to Register for Siege Cup Beta (ubisoft.com) and click on the Register your self button.
- Now that link will open the Siege Cup’s website register yourself with your Ubisoft ID.
- Now click on which platform you would be playing the game on and you’re done.
There’s also a simpler way of registering yourself for the beta and here’s how it goes:
- Go to Play Store on Android or App Store on ios and click on the search tab
- Write ‘r6 Mobile’ and hit search
- It will appear as the top result click on the install button after installing it register yourself with your Ubisoft ID,
And you’re done.
What content is currently available in the Game:
As the game is currently in the beta stage all of the content that is available on pc port of the game is not available in the mobile version. There is no rank ladder nor there are any leaderboards the game only has 4 maps out of 26 in the original version of the game. Here are the things that will be in the closed beta:
- Team deathmatch game mode
- Mastery tracks
- Load out, skin customizations.
- Gyroscope and haptic feedback.
As the release date is getting close, there will be another round of close beta with more content in it but as of now, these things are available only for those countries which are mentioned above on the blog.
Game’s device requirements and its release date:
Well, there are not any official requirements for the game as it has for the pc port but you wouldn’t want to play a competitive game with a sub-par device you want to play the game with a device that will put you on an advantage against your opponents.
- On the Android side of things, a device with 4 to 6 GB of RAM with an adequate processor something like snapdragon 855 or higher would be sufficient enough for this game.
- On the iOS side of things, phones with an A12 Bionic Processor or newer should be the ones to play the game on.
For the release date of the game, nothing has been confirmed by Ubisoft yet. The year however is finalized we will see the official release of Rainbow Six mobile somewhere in 2025.
