Rainbow Six Siege: Collision Point Y9S4 Patch notes and release time

After the reveal at the BLAST R6 Major Montreal, the new operation is finally releasing in a few hours. Collision Point will be the final operation for R6s this year. It brings multiple operator changes as well as the Blackbeard Rework. More operator getting new gadgets include Sens and Thunderbird. Ying is getting a nerf once again. Moreover, Crossplay will be introduced across PC and Console players with Collision Point.

Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical shooter from Ubisoft with over 70 different operators between Attackers and Defenders. Each operator is uniquely designed with their own set of abilities/gear and background story. Every player has their own set of operator preferences on both Attackers and Defenders which they can play confidently and bring a victory to their team.

Rainbow Six Siege’s new Operation Twin Shells brings various new features such as Siege Cup, Competitive Points, Warm-up mode, and more, but the main highlight of this new operation is a new Defender Operator named Skopós. She is the first disabled operator in the game but her addition brings a brand-new mechanic to the game, allowing players to make plays that were once impossible.

An Operator rework will be one of the major road map for Operation Collision Point. Blackbeard the American operator is getting his complete rework. That’s not all we’re getting PC and console crossplay and a brand new battle pass with Collision Point in Rainbow Six Siege.

Here’s everything you need to know about Rainbow Six Siege Collision Point Y9S4 Patch notes and when it’s releasing.

Operation Collision Point Release time

Ubisoft officially confirmed the downtime for Operation Collision Point’s update. In an X post by @Rainbow6Game, it was revealed that maintenance for the update will start on December 3rd at 9 AM Eastern Time. They also made note that the downtime will likely last an hour.

Everything coming in R6s Operation Collision Point

Here are the major stuff and features coming with Rainbow Six Siege Operation Collision Point.

  • Blackbeard’s rework
  • Thunderbird’s buff
  • Sens and Ying’s tweaks
  • Shields nerf
  • Crossplay between PC and Console
  • Siege Cup in all platforms
  • Cheater Match Cancellation
  • Badges and Career
  • Reputation System changes
  • Matchmaking Improvements

Blackbeard Rework

Blackbeard is an old operator who is being completely revamped with powerful abilities. His most notable upgrade is a new shield that can shatter through walls. However, Blackbeard is also receiving smaller changes to balance his kit for competitive play, which is necessary since his abilities will now be much stronger.

Crossplay

Both PC and Console players are getting crossplay allowing them to queue together when Collision Point launches on Dec 3rd. You will be able to play with your friends on PC if you’re an Xbox or PlayStation player.

Thunderbird Buff

Starting from Operation Collision Point, Kóna Stations will automatically heal 20 HP after being triggered. After that, the operator’s health will progressively increase up to the top of the HP bar. For instance, a three-speed operator with 20 HP will automatically be healed to 40 HP and progressively heal up to 100 HP.

However, there’s a counter to Thunderbird’s gadget: hitting the healed operator will stop the second healing. For instance, if an operator has been healed up to 70 HP and it’s hit by a shot then, the healing won’t continue. Ubisoft is adding the ITA12S to Thunderbird’s loadout. This will allow players to open rotations easily while not wasting their gadgets.

Winter Event

Freeze for All or Snow Brawl will be making a comeback with Collision Point. Players have been loving the Ubisoft events. These feature new Snow-filled maps, new exclusive cosmetics and new game modes to keep the player base fresh. More details about the upcoming Winter Event will be revealed close to the release by Ubisoft on their X and official website.
