Here is everything you need to know about Clash mode in Overwatch 2 Season 12.

What is Clash mode in Overwatch Season 12?

Clash is a new PvP mode added permanently to the game with the release of Season 12. In this mode, players will need to capture several points across the map in a time-based scenario, fighting enemies for who will hold the capture points for longer. There are no role restrictions and you can play any hero you like.

How to Play Clash mode?

Clash matches will take place on the mirrored map, with a total of five capture points that are in a straight line. These capture points are labeled as A, B, C, D, and E. Both teams will start with two points captured which leaves C contested. Your objective is to capture as many points or all the capture points to win the match.

You can capture the point by standing in the capture zone. When you capture a zone, the next zone will activate after 30 seconds, so defenders will have time to hold the zone and prevent the other team from capturing their zone.

In case of defenders taking another zone, the opposite team will fall back and the roles get reversed, Clash mode is a battle of back and forth for control points. The final point will be closer to the enemy spawn point which makes it an intense battle and fun game.

However, current Season 12 Heroes have gone through a lot of changes, you can check here for all the buffs and nerfs in Overwatch Season 12. Kiriko has gone through major nerfs but players are still rocking her.

Clash maps

Two maps are coming for Clash which are Hanaoka and Throne of Anubis. Both of these maps take inspiration from push maps from Overwatch which are Hanamura and Temple of Anubis. So, Clash maps are like a mirror version of maps where you play a battle of tug of war for the capture points.

Hanaoka Clash

Volskaya is one of the possible map locations for Clash to come in the future and teased in Blizzcon.

Apart from Clash, Season 12 includes a brand new Battle pass and an upcoming crossover with World of Warcraft which was shown in the trailer.
