If you are a newcomer to Deadlock it can be quite hectic to fully understand game mechanics. It also requires you to have complete map knowledge to win your games. Also, it can be gruesome competing against a Shiv player which deals an immense amount of damage. Being low on health at such points in your match can change the match output.
We will be going into detail on how to heal in Deadlock and all the ways you can heal. As there are no health packs or health stim in this game, it can be confusing for some players. Rank mode has been recently added to the game.
Here are all the ways you can heal in Deadlock.
- Buy Healing items from the Shop
- Return to Spawn Area
- Get Healed by Flag Soldiers
- Heal using Character Abilities

The best way to regain health is to prepare in advance for faceoff situations before jumping into the battle. For this, you need to invest in Healing Items from the Curiosity Shop. These items can help increase Bonus Health, Health Regen, and Bullet/Spirit Lifesteal which gives you HP for dealing damage.
Vitality tab will provide you with the best options for items such as healing and will also have bonuses to increase your base health. You can buy multiple items depending on their price. Here are all the prices for the base health increase.

Return to Spawn Area
Another way of getting healed is by returning to your Team’s Home base which is also next to the Curiosity Shop. This is where you spawn. If you return to your home base while damaged, you can regen your health back very fast. It is the fastest way to regenerate your health in seconds. But the only downside is you will have to get all the way back to your base.
However, using the zipline to get back to your base can save you some time from the fight and get your health back.
Get Healed by Flag Soldiers
Flag Soldiers can help heal you and your allies every 6 seconds. A green line will appear connecting you to the flag which marks the range you can get healed. Each heal by Soldiers will provide 40 HP. However, it is pretty small but It can help you in the early stages of the match.
Heal using Character Abilities
There are different characters in Deadlock that have active or passive healing abilities. They have life-stealing properties and abilities that regenerate their health over time. Such as McGinnis Medicinal Specter which uses a spirit that heals nearby units. Abrams, Dynamo, and Ivy are a few other heroes that have passive healing abilities. Using these characters and mastering your character can help you in healing and perform better in your rank matches.
