Here’s everything you need to know about Deadlock and all lane objectives to help you play better.

Deadlock: All Lane Objectives Explained

Single Guardian

At the start of a match in Deadlock, players will be fighting against other players between Guardians. These are the large, humanoid structures that prevent you from moving forward too far in the early game. These single Guardians require you to push your minions forward to distract it. Then, you are able to burst it down. Once you have completed part of your build, this can happen relatively quickly and will allow you to push forward. However, until then, you can deal occasional poke damage to it from the stairs just in front of it. If you’re any farther away, it generally won’t take damage.

Walkers

These are the largest lane objectives in Deadlock and take up much of the mid-game. Players will usually be able to take these down with the help of their minions around the 10:00 mark of a game at the earliest. The only strategy to slaying these monsters is to avoid their stun by keeping your distance and keeping an eye on the fireballs they shoot. Otherwise, these are relatively easy to kill.

Base Guardians

These are the same as the Guardians you faced earlier in the game, but there are two now. Once you slay these Guardians, you will unlock a flex spot in your build for your team and you also limit the amount of Souls that enemies get in that lane.

Shrines and Patron

Once you have finally made your way into the enemy base, you’ll need to destroy the two shrines there before attacking the large floating enemy called the Patron. Then, you destroy the Patron once, it teleports into the pit just in front of the enemy spawn, and you finish it off one final time to win the game.

The Patron will attack you until it is weakened, but the shines themselves do no damage, so plan out your final team fight or two carefully and do your best to secure the victory!

That’s all the objectives within lanes in Deadlock and how you should play them. I hope you win your next games in Deadlock with a class.
