The season 21 of Apex Legends has hit its due three-month or 90-day mark and has ended. Now the respawn is back with a new season featuring an all-new map. In this season 22 we will not get any new legends since last season had a new legend added called “alter”. But there will be new tactics and passives for the controller and recon class legends. A whole new event for this season, an upgrade to the stats tracker, a lot of things in this new battle pass, and much more. There are a lot of balances towards the arsenal in the game so we will also talk about them for a bit.
Now without further ado let’s start with this new map called “E-DISTRICT” and how the community is receiving it.
E-DISTRICT :
The e-district is live in the game with the new update and the community is pleased with how the map turns out to be. I will talk about the community’s perspective later on but first, we have to talk about this map.
So the e-district theme is based on a futuristic city. Similar to the night city of cyberpunk the lighting on the buildings, the infrastructure everything illuminates a futuristic vibe to it. The map itself is very dense meaning that the buildings are stuck from one another with no gaps between them while the map also has narrow alleyways and tons of obstacles to cross. The KZ players are going to love this new map. Because of how dense its environment is. If you main octane you would be very pleased to play on this map.
Apart from the dense environment, the map has loot distributed differently. Unlike other maps like King Canyon or World’s Edge where the loot is heavily dependent on the area, you could get good in some areas while in the others area, you would not find anything useful. In e-district the loot system is kind of bummed since there are no distinguished areas where you can find good loot. Every place has some good things the loot is scattered around the map unevenly.
Now that you know most about the map let’s talk about how the community is feeling with this new map.
So the main concern of most players is that the map is too big than they anticipated early on. Players also said that the loot system is not great most bins do not provide sufficient supplies and since the map is too big to wander around it leaves them empty-handed. Which in my opinion a matter of time until Respawn does something about this loot thing.
Apart from that community seems to be pretty happy with this dense urban land of a map and a breath of fresh into the game.
This season’s Map Rotations:
Now before going on and on about how the new tacticals and passives will affect the apex legend’s classes. First, let’s talk about this season’s first half of map rotations. So in rotation, you will find maps like World which just got a new rework by the way. The new e-district and lastly the storm point.
The rotation would look like this:
- Broken Moon
- E-District
- Storm Point.
The second half of this season’s rotation is unknown as of now.
As the new season is about to start, this is the best time to start unlocking badges in Apex legends with the help of having a pro player in your team!
Changes towards the Legends:
So as i told you above respawn is trying to sauce up the game and trying to bring a change because let’s be honest the game has been going to a stage where It needs big changes to get new players and avoid the game going stale.
The change they bring to the legends in this season is towards their tactics and passives. They are giving extra perks to the legends from the controller and recon classes. Just to be clear these are the controller legends:
Controller Legends and their New Perks:
- Caustic
- Wattson
- Rampart
- Catalyst
So the perks that these controller legends will enjoy. Is the new shield inside the circle? Now every controller legend will get an extra 25 hp oh shield while inside of the circle. You will lose it if they stay outside for more than 5 seconds. This shield can be replenished with the cells and abilities not only that the controller legends will now also be able to get their tacticals back just by looking at them back and pressing a button they can also overcharge their shields just by going into the ring.
This new perk will allow the controller legends to be a bit more aggressive in the last minutes of the match. Also, the overcharge is not that significant and will disbalance the whole dynamics of the games. So it’s a very welcoming and sound perk by respawn.
Recon Legends and their New Perks:
- Bloodhound
- Crypto
- Seer
- Vantage
–
The first perk is that now recon legends will get a threat vision meaning that they would be able to see their enemies whom has a line of sight towards them. The recon legends would be able to see them through their downsight aim. Unfortunately, it would not through walls or smoke so you can only see your enemies while they peeking or wandering around the map. The survey beacon also got an upgrade now it will be way faster to use and will have 3 pulses from now which would take a snapshot of enemies inside of a hundred-meter range. The enemies now will no longer get a scanned message on their screen.
There are also nerfs to the legends in recon class for started the range of beacons is reduced to only 500 hundred meters not only that the EVO award has also decreased from 200 to 75.
Now that is it from the new class perks. Let’s move on to the next thing.
GAMEPLAY UPDATES
The Stat Tracker Update:
Respawn has reworked the stat tracker. They have separated the artwork from your stats. You’ll now be able to set the art of your legend-banned cards separately. The artwork from your tracker has now been made unambiguous meaning that you would be able to apply any of them to any legend-banned card.
By separating them they have provided these players to have a lot more control over the customization of their banner cards.
Aim Assist:
The devs have responded to the aim assist problem and are now in the pc console crossplay mode. The aim assist for the controller players would be 18% and on the console performance mode, it will be reduced to 22%. While playing with a controller on pc the strength of aim assists to 25%.
So nonetheless the aim assist will be noticeably weaker from now on. Which is in my opinion a good thing for us pc players.
On the other, the aim flinch has been removed from all abilities. This mechanic was not loved by anyone and the community had been complaining since day 1 it. So devs have noted that and made a judgment call to remove it from the game.
Loot Pool, Loot Bin Reset, and Mythic Bin:
First, the loot pool has a dramatic change, and now the chance of getting a purple or gold is reduced by 50%. The devs said that the access of higher tier attachments early on in the match gives an unbalanced fight between teams this change would help with that.
The loot bin will now also reset through halfway the game. The next roll of the reset loot bins has a much higher chance of providing high-tier and rare loot at the mid-way of the match.
There’s also a mythic being added to the game. Now each match will have a mythic bin in which the player could find a random care package weapon, medical supplies, large EVO bonuses, and also gold versions of the weapons that the squad is running with.
The mythic bin will be visible on the map and the mini-map. Not only that it will take a good chunk of your time trying to break it.
Reorganization: Death Boxes and Loba’s Black Market:
Healing items have been reorganized to appear on dedicated slots rather than being on a consumable slow. Also, the shield cores have been moved towards the slot of the gear category.
