After Ambessa was added to the LoL roaster and final Champion for this year. Riot Games is starting the year with a new Champion from Arcane Mel Medarda who’s the daughter of Ambessa. Also, major leaks reveal that a new Noxus-themed season will come with Season 1 in 2025.
Riot Games is doing a genius job with making Arcane multi universe and introducing it in League of Legends. Ambessa was the first Arcane Universe Champion added to LoL. Next, we are finally getting Mel Medarda after her amazing debut of Noxus powers in Arcane Season 2.
League of Legends is getting a brand new Champion in live client with Patch 14.22. Ambessa is the new Riot Games Champion for LoL. Patch 14.22 will be deployed in early November. Ambessa offers a lot of dashes. She is a solo lane Champion and offers AD. Her main abilities use energy like Zed and dashes.
Ambessa is going to be the final Champion to be added to LoL in 2024 and Season 14. Apart from the recent layoffs announced by Riot Games for League of Legends. The game is still in good hands and getting new champions.
New Champion Mel Madarda in LoL
LoL Leaks on X revealed one of the biggest leaks about new Champion set for LoL in 2025 Mel Madarda and one other unconfirmed Champion are set to get a full rework like Viktor. In his leak we saw first look of Mel Medarda in action.
It’s been a while since Summoner’s Rift received a major update, mainly due to engine limitations. However, there’s a chance the game’s engine might get an upgrade soon. BigBadBear discussed the potential benefits of switching engines, though it looks like League of Legends won’t see this update until at least 2026.
Noxus-themed Season
Next season in LoL in 2025 will be inspired by Noxus. Due to Noxus intro in Arcane Season 2 and success of the show. Riot Games is bringing ton of stuff in-game LoL. We might be getting a new map inspired by Noxus. As we already getting our second Noxus Agent with Mel Medarda. She will have some amazing Arcane magic moves, with her LoL character being reflective of the power she had at the end of the show. At the end of Arcane Season 2, Swain was teased making it obvious that Noxus is next.
This is a good sign for League of Legends and Arcane universe by introducing new characters in show and transferring them to the official LoL roaster. It’s a win win situation for fans of both the show and the game.
