League of Legends Patch 14.19 Nerfs Legendary Items and Runes, Champions Balance, K’Sante Rework, & New Features

The developers of League of Legends have been working on balancing the items and runes to reduce the effectiveness of item builds requiring players to use the champion abilities more to lead the team to victory. Riot has two new patches 14.17 and patch 14.18 were released this week. League of Legends’ next update (Patch 14.19) includes the major changes regarding the Global Items, Champion nerfs and buffs while K’Sante is being reworked again, and a few new features, all of which are preseason changes to Season 15 (2025).

As Riot Games is changing the pace of the game, here is an overview of everything coming in Patch 14.19 of League of Legends.

LoL Patch 14.19 Release Date

League of Legends Patch 14.19 is set out to be released on September 25, 2024, with the Season 14 Split 3 starting date. The estimated time for the update to go live is 3 AM PT.

Component/Legendary Item Nerfs

There are over a hundred changes to Global (Component and Legendary) Items in Patch 14.19 of League of Legends which mainly focuses on decreasing the snowball potential. Due to this, players will not be able to farm efficiently which ultimately decreases the game’s pace, requiring players to use the champion abilities instead to make their plays. An average Nerf percentage of every Legendary Item is around 5-15% reducing their overall raw power for the champions to take advantage of.

Runes Balancing

With the Legendary Item Nerfs, Runes have been balanced as well. There are three Runes that have been changed in Patch 14.19 containing Lethal Tempo, Biscuit Delivery, and Shield Bash.

Lethal Tempo

Base attacks on an enemy champion grant you (5% melee/4% ranged) attack speed for 6 seconds, up to 6. At max stacks, attacks also deal (9 – 30 melee/6 – 24 ranged) bonus adaptive damage, increased by 1% per 1% bonus attack speed.

Biscuit Delivery

It no longer grants mana regen or max mana, instead restores 12% of your missing health. Consuming or selling a biscuit permanently increases your max health by 30.

Shield Bash

The bonus resistance while shielded has been removed. However, Bonus HP damage scaling increased to 2.5% from 1.5%, and Shield damage scaling increased to 15% from 8.5%.

Champions Balancing

Four champions are receiving changes in Patch 14.19 containing Elise, Tristana, Vladimir, and K’Sante.

Vladimir

Vladimir is receiving only one change which is a Nerf. Vladimir’s healing against minions (Sanguine Pool) got nerfed to 60% from 100%.

Tristana

Tristana is receiving changes in both Base Stats and her abilities. Her base attack damage, attack range, and attack speed are receiving some generous buffs, but her health regeneration, attack damage growth, and Armor growth stats are getting nerfed. All of her abilities are receiving both buffs and nerfs as well.

Elise

Elise’s base stats are not receiving any changes but her passive ability (Spider Queen) is getting a bit nerfed. The Spiderling health will now have 5 less HP at Level 18 than before. However, Cocoon ability can now be combo’ed with Flash and her Spider/Human Form’s cooldown has been reduced to 3 seconds.

K’Sante Rework

K’Sante is being reworked again, this time with over 40 changes to his arsenal and base stats. All the adjustments to his name are focused on making him less mobile and more of a tank. No doubt his power across his abilities was overperforming, especially in World tournaments, but with these changes, his tank scaling is very well.

K’Sante will now scale with resistances that won’t be able to infinitely stack health on him with Grasp of the Undying, but his damage output will increase throughout the match and get capped later in the game.

New Item Queuing System

With all the Nerfs and changes, the Patch 14.19 also offers some new features, one of which is an Item Queuing System which allows players to assign items to a queue. Doing so, allows players to track the exact amount of Gold needed to purchase the components. Moreover, it also introduces a One-Click Purchase button allowing players to purchase a possible number of components corresponding to Gold.

Moreover, if a player leaves the base without purchasing any component, the system will push out a notification to return to the base to purchase an item. This feature is being added to enhance the shopping experience for both new and old players of LoL.

Ping System Additions

The ping system is getting a few additions as well containing new notifications for potion use, low health, and objective spawns. A new “My Bad” ping is also being added to let players communicate better and acknowledge mistakes during matches. Lastly, a few map alerts will pop up whenever a player is being invaded in the jungle.

All the new pings objective banners coming in Patch 14.19 will surely enhance a player’s experience in communicating with their teammates during the matches. That is all related to the early patch notes of LoL next update coming on September 25, 2024.
