Ubisoft went through all of the updates coming to XDefiant with the launch of Season 1 and the players have been left amazed by the bundle of new content coming to the game. XDefiant reveals the full patch notes and content coming to the game before the season 1 arrival on July 2. The new content coming to the game is lengthier than the expected development period and Ubisoft’s online Arena-Style shooter XDefiant launched in May to massive numbers. Players were able to check out all that the game had to offer during its constantly evolving preseason period during the past month.
To resolve issues and keep the gameplay feeling smooth, the XDefiant aims to constantly remain fresh with new content and updates. The XDefiant developers do their best to keep the community of players informed regarding potential issues as well as when they can expect to see requested content like certain game modes or a weapon inspection feature. Ubisoft gave fans a ton of new content coming to XDefiant during the Ubisoft Forward event on June 10. The reveals included maps, a new faction, game modes, and much more arriving on July 2 when XDefiant season 1 begins is full. Year 1 Season 1 of XDefiant is going live July 2 at 6 am PST/9 am EST. There are 2 hours of expected server downtime before going live. XDefiant players will jump back in at approximately 8 AM PT / 4 PM BST / 11 AM ET.
A brand-new faction: The GSK from Rainbow Six Siege is the biggest part of this update for many XDefiant players. The GSK brings multiple familiar gadgets from Siege including Jaeger’s automated defense system gadget to destroy enemy explosives, dropping shock wire, and utilizing Blitz’s tactical flash shield as the team’s ultimate ability. For better survivability, each member is wearing a helmet as they’re able to better resist headshots. Nonetheless, Season 1 is also adding new weapons like the LVOA-C Assault Rifle, Capture the Flag, and Clubhouse, the first of 3 maps arriving this season.
Not only XDefiant Season 1 is bringing more than just content to the game but Season 1 patch notes also confirm several changes being made to the experience, adding lowering the amount of XP needed to advance each Battle Pass tier, which should make the progression feel quicker. XDefiant Season 1 Patch Notes

Season 1 of XDefiant is finally here and Ubisoft has revealed a wealth of brand-new content arriving to the free-to-play shooter. Alongside the full launch of Ranked Play, the first post-launch season will feature new additions to the fresh maps, gun list, and more for players to master.
Gameplay
· Changed the expiration timing of activated Boosters so their lifespan counts down only during match time, when you’re actually playing, rather than all the time, like when you’re folding laundry or whatever.
· Lowered the XP threshold for each Battle Pass tier to give Battle Pass progression a little more pep.
· Tuned Match Bonus XP rewards: MVP and Victory went from 2,000 to 1,000 XP. Draw went from 1,000 to 500. Completion doubled from 2,000 to 4,000 to encourage player stick-to-itiveness.
· Answered a community ask to add a headshot icon to the Killfeed because it feels good to rub it in.
Factions
·Added the GSK faction and their no-nonsense announcer: HQ.
These elite Team Rainbow operators from Germany’s Border Protection Command specialize in crowd control and securing territory. They can deploy electrified barbed wire for area denial, counter incoming enemy devices with their Active Defense System, and dazzle multiple foes with flash charges mounted on their G52-Tactical Shield ultra. Call them Grenzschutzkommando because it’s fun and also accurate.
· Increased the cooldown of Echelon’s Intel Suit from 30 to 40 seconds.
·Tuned the cooldown of the Phantoms’ Mag Barrier from 30 to 40 seconds. Mag Barrier hit points were also reduced from 500 to 400.
· The Phantoms’ AEGIS now takes damage from EMP grenades (lob six to put it out of commission).
· DedSec Hijack cooldown decreased from 28 seconds (plus the remaining duration of the hacked skill) to 20 seconds (plus the remaining duration of the hacked skill).
o For example, let’s say a Mag Barrier has 7 seconds left and gets hacked: The cooldown becomes 20 plus 7 seconds. Failed Hijack cooldown, meanwhile, decreases from 8 to 5 seconds.
·DedSec’s Spiderbot cooldown increased from 25 to 40 seconds.
· Adjusted Spiderbot behavior so multiple Spiderbots won’t attempt to hug the same face, nor will Spiderbots continue to ignore faces they’ve hugged multiple recent times. Some give and take from the Spiderbot kingdom.
· Decreased the cooldown of Libertad’s BioVida Boost from 25 to 20 seconds.
· Fixed Libertad’s Medico Supremo so it will no longer disappear after the deploying player respawns as a different faction.
Maps
· Added the new Clubhouse map, a two-story hangout popular with international operators. Ideal for firefights in the short- to mid-range. Home to game modes Domination, Occupy, Hot Shot, and the new CTF.
Game Modes
· Added Capture the Flag, hereafter referred to as CTF. For the uninitiated: You take the enemy’s flag from their base and bring it back to your own, while protecting your team’s flag. CTF is available on a variety of maps.
Weapons
· Improved the hit flinch penalty incurred when being shot with a sniper rifle equipped.
· These changes are intended to refine the behavior of hit flinch, prevent instances where the camera would move off the target with the first hit and back onto the target with the second, and improve the experience for players sensitive to wild camera movements. Here’s the nitty-gritty:
o The speed of the hit flinch camera transition has been increased by 25 percent.
o The camera will now always kick upward rather than up or down at random.
o The amount the camera will kick left or right has been increased by 3 times.
· Added the L115 sniper rifle, which is not quite as heavy as the TAC-50 and has faster handling, although it deals slightly less damage and is not as effective at penetrating cover.
· Added the LVOA-C, a snazzy customized rifle similar to the M4A1. It has a much faster rate of fire than the M4A1, but with that comes more recoil and less range. It also has slightly longer reload and equip times.
· Added the Sawed Off secondary weapon. This close-range version of the double-barreled shotgun packs a big boom for its size. Imagine carrying a primary weapon in your secondary slot and that’s this.
· Added new Mastery skins: Titanium Violet (unlocked at Weapon Level 300), Titanium Azure (unlocked at 350), and Titanium Prisma (unlocked at 400).
· Fixed weapons and optics shake in first-person view while using ADS.
Devices
· Added a new and improved visual effect for the flash grenade (replacing the previous effect, which was…intense). The new effect is less retina-searing but still appropriately disorientating.
· Removed an exploit where players could respawn with multiple devices after fiddling with the “Copy Loadout” option in the lobby, so nice try.
Social
· Added the Creator Code program, which allows players to choose a creator to receive commissions from their XCoin purchases at no additional cost. Choose “Support a Creator” from the store to see a list of eligible creators.
· Players were able to create a party with enemy players and voice chat during matches despite being on opposing teams, which seemed shady so that’s fixed.
· Disabled whispers in text chat.
Audio
· Tweaked the mix of in-game voices and sound effects for volume and clarity.
Miscellaneous
· Players who participated in the Closed Beta were supposed to keep Kersey’s Dungaree skin. They didn’t but now they do.
· Fixed Challenge-tracking issues with Ubisoft Connect.
· Graphical and audio fixes, various.
· Additional crash fixes.
GSK is XDefiant’s new faction
XDefiant is welcoming the GSK Faction in Season 1 and it includes three Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege operators: Jäger, Bandit, and Blitz.
Their abilities are exactly the same as the ones they possess in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, these have been adapted to XDefiant’s needs. Jäger will deploy his ADS slightly differently: instead of placing them on walls, he will throw them and Bandit will be able to deploy an electrified barbed wire, as he will utilize his shield to blind his enemies.
To defend the sites, the developers expect players to use the operators included in the GSK Faction, something both Bandit and Jäger do in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Players can use their devices to slow down the attackers’ pushes to the site and we hope them to be played very often in Zone Control and Occupy.
All new weapons in XDefiant Season 1
The XDefiant developers finally revealed all the upcoming weapons in XDefiant Season 1. Patrick Price, the system designer of XDefiant explained all the pros and cons of the upcoming secondary and primary weapons in a recent XDebrief session on Ubisoft’s official YouTube channel.

Patrick Price has disclosed all the new weapons ready to emerge in XDefiant Season 1. The community will soon get these new weapons following the release of the season, ranging from assault rifles to a secondary shotgun.

LVOA-C assault rifle
LVOA-C assault rifle is added to the XDefiant in Season 1 and that makes this assault rifle the sixth addition to the list of assault rifles available in the game. According to the developers, this assault rifle has a better handling and fire rate as compared to the M44.
As compared to the other rifles in-game, it has the fastest TTK to the body. Keep in mind that it has a high recoil and less range than traditional assault rifles. This means that using this weapon in a fight with accuracy is not a piece of cake for everyone, so players will have to try their best to master this weapon.
Here’s a recommended loadout to use the LVOA-C to its full capability.

L115 Sniper Rifle
The developers introduced the L115 sniper rifle in XDefiant because many players have complained about the lack of sniping weapons. It is placed between the two snipers that are the following.
· Tac 50
· M44
According to the developers, the L115 Sniper Rifle is not fast and snappy like the M44 sniper and is not heavy like Tac 50. To inflict the best damage possible on the battlefield, the players must aim for the upper torso. The TAC 50 is reliable for one-shot kills, but very heavy which will badly impact the match. Therefore, the developers of the game expect the M44 to be used for quick headshots and the TAC 50 and L115 for body shots.
Sawed-off secondary shotgun
In the list of secondary weapons in Xdefiant Season 1, the Sawed-off secondary shotgun is a brand new addition. According to the developers, this weapon is the most lethal secondary weapon at close range where players will get a 5-10% movement nerf while using this secondary shotgun.
According to Patrick Price, the L115 sniper rifle and sawed-off shotgun are a go-to combo for the arena.
New mastery colors for weapons
In Season 0, XDefiant’s weapon mastery featured bronze, silver, and golden colors, which were given to players as a reward for enhancing the level of their favorite guns. However, in Season 1, XDefiant is adding Titanium, Violet, Azure, and Prisma. The latter one will be the best in the game as the color is constantly changing.
Ranked
In Season 1, Ubisoft is introducing a competitive playlist called Ranked to XDefiant. The matches in Season 1 will be only 4v4 as no five-player squads will be allowed.
Additionally, players will be able to line up in the following game modes:
· Escort
· Zone Control
· Domination
· Ocuppy
To make them fairer from a competitive point of view, all Ocuppy, Domination, and Zone Control have been tweaked. Additionally, Ubisoft released all the important information about the Ranks, and the matchmaking rules, as players will only be permitted to queue with three friends if the level difference is no bigger than 15.
Clubhouse is XDefiant’s new map
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege map Clubhouse is being unveiled to XDefiant with Season 1. XDefiant team decided to keep it similar to the one seen in Siege as there have been some small changes made to some areas like the Bar and Garage. However, they decided to keep Siege’s destructiveness around the map in the form of destroyed ceilings, walls, and floors.
Additionally, fans will see barricades and deployable shields around the map as a reference to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
Players can support content creators
Starting with XDefiant’s Season 1, players can support their favorite content creators. In that case, you will have to head to the Store, press Support a Creator, and choose your favorite content creator. With that, they will get a small commission from each purchase you make during the upcoming 14 days or until you decide to cancel it.
